1. An electronic device, comprising:
- a processor;
a display;
a memory coupled to the processor, the memory having instructions stored therein; and
an accelerometer coupled to the processor and the memory to detect movement of the electronic device, wherein the processor executes instructions from the memory to perform one or more predetermined user configurable actions in response to the detection of the movement of the electronic device, including detecting whether the movement of the electronic device is in accordance with a direction associated with the direction of the transition from the viewpoint of the user, and performing a predetermined operation if the movement is not detected in accordance with a direction associated with the direction of the transition.
