Abstract

A system and method for assigning unique and immutable attributes to user profiles and associated image(s) to facilitate the dynamic indication of supervisory control and monitoring through iconic representation, steganographic processing and/or encryption processing.

Claims

1. A method of assigning a security identifier to a digital image using a computer comprising microprocessor coupled to a memory, said method comprising the steps of:

(a) linking an image to a user account;

(b) preparing an image indicator for combination with said image;

(c) combining said image indicator with said image; and

(d) displaying the combined image indicator and image on a display in communication with said microprocessor and said memory.

2. The method of claim 1 wherein said image indicator comprises a visible icon.

3. The method of claim 1 wherein said image indicator comprises stenographically generated data.

4. The method of claim 1 wherein said image indicator comprises an encryption key.

5. The method of claim 3 wherein said image indicator further comprises an encryption key.

6. The method of claim 1 wherein said image is a user selected image.

7. The method of claim 1 wherein said image is a default image.

8. The method of claim 1 further comprising, prior to step (b), setting a parameter in a supervisory account for governing access to said user account and for establishing access supervisory preferences for said user account.

9. The method of claim 1 further comprising, prior to step (a), determining whether said user account is to be a monitored account.

10. A system for assigning a security identifier to a digital image using a computer comprising microprocessor coupled to a memory, said method comprising the steps of:

means for linking an image to a user account;

means for preparing an image indicator for combination with said image;

means for combining said image indicator with said image; and

a display in communication with said microprocessor and said memory for displaying the combined image indicator and image.

11. The system of claim 10 wherein said image indicator comprises a visible icon.

12. The system of claim 10 wherein said image indicator comprises stenographically generated data.

13. The system of claim 10 wherein said image indicator comprises an encryption key.

14. The system of claim 12 wherein said image indicator further comprises an encryption key.

15. The system of claim 10 wherein said image is a user selected image.

16. The system of claim 10 wherein said image is a default image.

17. The system of claim 10 further comprising means for setting a parameter in a supervisory account for governing access to said user account and for establishing access supervisory preferences for said user account.

18. The system of claim 10 further comprising means for determining whether said user account is to be a monitored account.
