Abstract

According to an embodiment of present invention, a method for transmitting a coexistent data stream, the method including: transmitting coexistent data stream transmission information including transmission power information of a first data stream targeted for a first station and transmission power information of a second data stream targeted for a second station in an environment in which the first station, a legacy station, coexists with a second station, a station supporting a wireless local area network (WLAN) system evolved further than the first station; and transmitting, by an access point (AP), the first and second data streams to the second station and the first station, wherein the AP transmits the first data stream with a higher transmission power level than that of the second data stream according to the coexistent data stream transmission information.

18. A method of transmitting a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) packet in a wireless local area network, the method comprising:

generating a first short training field (STF) used for a receiver to estimate an automatic gain control and a coarse frequency offset;

generating a first long training field (LTF) used for the receiver to estimate a fine frequency offset;

generating a first signal field including a field indicating the receiver which receives the at least one data stream;

generating a second STF used for improving automatic gain control estimation in a MIMO transmission;

generating a second LTF used for estimating a MIMO channel;

generating at least one second signal field including a length field indicating a length of each data stream;

generating a data frame including the first STF, the first LTF, the first signal field, the second STF, the second LTF, the at least one second signal field and at least one data stream; and

transmitting the data frame to at least one receiver.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the data frame includes the first STF, the first LTF, the first signal field, the second STF, second LTF, the at least one second signal field and at least one data stream sequentially.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the data frame is a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU).

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the first STF, the first LTF and the first signal field are transmitted over each 20 MHz of a channel bandwidth, and the second STF, the second LTF, the at least one second signal field and the at least one data stream are transmitted over the channel bandwidth.

22. The method of claim 21, wherein the bandwidth of the channel bandwidth is one of 20 MHz, 40 MHz and 80 MHz.

23. A wireless device of transmitting a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) packet in a wireless local area network, the wireless device comprising:

a process configured to;

generate a first short training field (STF) used for a receiver to estimate an automatic gain control and a coarse frequency offset;

generate a first long training field (LTF) used for the receiver to estimate a fine frequency offset;

generate a first signal field including a field indicating the receiver which receives the at least one data stream;

generate a second STF used for improving automatic gain control estimation in a MIMO transmission;

generate a second LTF used for estimating a MIMO channel;

generate at least one second signal field including a length field indicating a length of each data stream;

generate a data frame including the first STF, the first LTF, the first signal field, the second STF, the second LTF, the at least one second signal field and the at least one data stream; and

transmit the data frame to the receiver.

24. The wireless device of claim 23, wherein the data frame includes the first STF, the first LTF, the first signal field, the second STF, second LTF, the at least one second signal field and at least one data stream sequentially.

25. The wireless device of claim 24, wherein the data frame is a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU).

26. The wireless device of claim 24, wherein the first STF, the first LTF and the first signal field are transmitted over each 20 MHz of a channel bandwidth, and the second STF, the second LTF, the at least one second signal field and the at least one data stream are transmitted over the channel bandwidth.

27. The wireless device of claim 26, wherein the bandwidth of the channel bandwidth is one of 20 MHz, 40 MHz and 80 MHz.
