1. A method of processing a prescription order for a drug comprising:
- receiving data corresponding to the prescription order at a computer processor of a retail pharmacy, the prescription order specifying a drug for a client;
identifying, via the computer processor, that the drug requires clinical data corresponding to health information based on an observation of the client;
screening, via the computer processor, values of the clinical data associated with the client in view of the drug;
marking, via the computer processor, the prescription as a hard edit when a missing or out-of-range clinical data value for the drug is identified, the hard edit designating that the drug cannot be dispensed without further review; and
deferring delivery of the drug pending resolution of the hard edit.
