Abstract

Automated notification and acceptance/rejection of appointment or opening in a calendar/schedule via network-based systems and methods, including application over social networks and website based connection between users and service providers.

Claims

1. A method for automatic networked-based calendar availability notification comprising the steps of:

a. Providing an electronic schedule system including at least one schedule associated with calendar-based days and times;

b. Providing a network over which a multiplicity of remote devices for communicating with a web-based automatic calendar availability notification site;

c. Wherein the electronic schedule system automatically initiates a notification to a predetermined set of users, wherein the notification proactively indicates to those users the opportunity to secure a position within the electronic schedule system, based upon the availability associated with the opportunity.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification includes a plurality of available time and/or date slots within the electronic schedule system.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the notification is made following a step of matching or cross-coordinating the opportunity of the system with factors associated with the users.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein the factors include a geographic location of the user at a predetermined time, relationship of the user to the system, status of the user within the system compared with other users, and combinations thereof.

5. The method of claim 3, wherein the factors are selected from the group consisting of a geographic location of the user at a predetermined time, relationship of the user to the system, status of the user within the system compared with other users, and combinations thereof.

6. The method of claim 1, further including the step of the system automatically matching the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated availability.

7. The method of claim 1, further including the step of the system automatically matching the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated lead time notification.

8. The method of claim 1, further including the step of the system automatically matching the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated geographic location.

13. The system of claim 3, wherein the factors are selected from the group consisting of a geographic location of the user at a predetermined time, relationship of the user to the system, status of the user within the system compared with other users, and combinations thereof.

16. The system of claim 1, wherein the system automatically matches the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated geographic location inputs provided by the user through the interactive website.

9. A system for automatic networked-based calendar availability notification comprising:

a. an electronic schedule system including at least one schedule associated with calendar-based days and times;

b. the electronic schedule system having at least one server computer in communication with a multiplicity of remote computing devices over a network for providing access to an interactive web-based automatic calendar availability notification website and user interface associated therewith;

c. the electronic schedule system operable for automatically initiating an electronic communication for notification to a predetermined set of users, wherein the notification proactively indicates to those users the opportunity to secure a position within the electronic schedule system, based upon the availability associated with the opportunity.

10. The system of claim 9, wherein the notification includes a plurality of available time and/or date slots within the electronic schedule system.

11. The system of claim 9, wherein the notification is made based upon confirmation of a match or cross-coordination of the opportunity of the system with factors associated with the users.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein the factors include a geographic location of the user at a predetermined time, relationship of the user to the system, status of the user within the system compared with other users, and combinations thereof.

14. The system of claim 9, further including the step of the system automatically matching the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated availability.

15. The system of claim 9, wherein the system automatically matches the opportunity compared with or corresponding to user-indicated lead time inputs provided by the user through the interactive website.

17. A system for web-based scheduling comprising:

a. An automated network-based calendar system viewable by users via an interactive website user interface, the system supported by a server computer connected to the network for providing the interactive website for access by a multiplicity of remote computing devices in communication with the network;

b. The system further including an electronic automatic availability notification to predetermined users on the system, and operable for receiving inputs from the users for interactive acceptance of the availability.

18. The system of claim 17, wherein the electronic automatic availability notification is associated with service providers, businesses, and/or individuals.

19. The system of claim 17, wherein the electronic automatic availability notification is based upon user-indicated availability, geography, and/or lead-time requirements.

20. The system of claim 17, wherein the users are predetermined and pre-registered with the system.

21. The system of claim 17, wherein the system includes a cloud or virtualized system, further including a web-based hosted solution having an automated calendar opening or appointment availability notification that is operable for matching calendar openings with user-indicated availability for users associated with the service providers, businesses, and/or individuals that provide the notification to the user(s).

22. The system of claim 17, wherein the electronic automatic availability notification is associated with service providers, businesses, and/or individuals.
