Abstract

A method for managing data communication of a mobile device in a mobile network is provided. The method may include receiving a request, at a cloud proxy, to retrieve Internet data from the Internet. The request may originate from an application, and the Internet data may have a plurality unique objects. The method may also include aggregating the Internet data and two or more of the unique objects from the Internet. Furthermore, the method may include forwarding the Internet data and the two or more unique objects to the mobile device in one transmission.

Claims

1. A method for managing data communication of a mobile device in a mobile network, comprising:

receiving one or more requests, at a cloud proxy, to retrieve Internet data having a plurality of unique objects, the one or more requests originating from an application;

aggregating the Internet data and two or more of the unique objects from the Internet; and

forwarding the Internet data and the two or more unique objects to the mobile device in one transmission.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the application is stored on the mobile device.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the one or more requests are received in one transmission.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device maintains a Hypertext Transfer Protocol persistent connection with the cloud proxy.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein downloading the Internet data comprises downloading a web page.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein aggregating the web page comprises creating a browser instance in the cloud proxy, the browser instance having a web address associated with the web page.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein downloading the web page comprises downloading the unique objects from a plurality of servers.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device provides an Internet connection for a client device in the mobile network, and wherein the application is stored on the client device.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein the mobile device sends the Internet data and the unique objects to the client device.

10. A method for managing data communication of a mobile device in a mobile network, comprising:

receiving a request at an assembler stored on the mobile device, the request originating from a web browser;

determining if the request is for a new web page or an unique object of a previously requested web page;

if the request is for the new web page, forwarding the request to a cloud proxy;

if the request is for the unique object, determining if the unique object has already been received from the cloud proxy;

if the unique object has been received, serving the unique object to the web browser; and

if the unique object has not been received, suspending the request until the unique object has been received.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein the request is received from a client proxy in communication with the assembler, the client proxy being stored on the mobile device.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein serving the unique object comprises:

sending the unique object to the client proxy; and

forwarding the unique object to the web browser from the client proxy.

13. The method of claim 10, further comprising:

temporarily storing an additional unique object received from the previously requested web page; and

serving the additional unique object upon receipt of a request for the additional unique object from the web browser.

14. A mobile network, comprising:

a client device comprising an application;

a mobile device in communication with the client device; and

a cloud proxy in communication with the mobile device, the cloud proxy comprising;

at least one processor; and

a memory comprising program instructions that, when executed by the at least one processor, cause the at least one processor to;

receive a request from the application to retrieve Internet data having a plurality of unique objects;

aggregate the Internet data and two or more of the unique objects from the Internet; and

forward the Internet data and the two or more unique objects to the client device in one transmission.

15. The mobile network of claim 14, wherein the mobile device forwards the request from the client device to the cloud proxy.

16. The mobile network of claim 14, wherein the mobile device provides an Internet connection for the client device.

17. The mobile network of claim 14, wherein the plurality of unique objects are downloaded from a plurality of servers.

18. The mobile network of claim 14, wherein the program instructions configured to download the Internet data comprises program instructions configured to download a web page.

19. The mobile network of claim 14, wherein the application is a web browser stored on the client device.

20. The mobile network of claim 19, wherein the client device comprises:

at least one client processor;

a client memory comprising program instructions that, when executed by the at least one client processor, cause the at least one client processor to;

receive an additional request from the web browser;

determine if the additional request is for a new web page or an unique object of a previously requested web page;

if the additional request is for the new web page, send the additional request to the cloud proxy through the mobile device.
