23. A hole-closure device, comprising:

a tissue-attachment portion; and a collapsible portion coupled to the tissue-attachment portion; wherein the tissue-attachment portion is maintained in a non-attachment configuration when a sheath is disposed around the tissue-attachment portion, wherein the tissue-attachment portion is configured to attach to tissue around the hole in response to withdrawal of the sheath from around the tissue-attachment portion, and wherein the collapsible portion is configured to close the hole by collapsing inwardly in response to withdrawal of a tool from the hole-closure device.
