Abstract

An approach is provided for providing biometric information processing using distributed computation. A biometric information processing infrastructure determines to receive an input including, at least in part, biometric information. The biometric information processing infrastructure selects one or more analyses for processing the input. The biometric information processing infrastructure also determines one or more processes associated with the one or more analyses. The biometric information processing infrastructure further determines to derive one or more computation closures from the one or more processes. The biometric information processing infrastructure determines to decompose the one or more computation closures for distribution in one or more computation spaces.

Claims

1. A method comprising:

determining to receive an input including, at least in part, biometric information;

determining one or more analyses for processing the input;

determining one or more processes associated with the one or more analyses;

determining to derive one or more computation closures from the one or more processes; and

determining to decompose the one or more computation closures for distribution in one or more computation spaces.

2. A method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining the one or more processes, the one or more computation closures, one or more corresponding information sets, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the biometric information.

3. A method of claim 1, wherein the distribution of the one or computation closures in the one or more computation spaces is based, at least in part, on the biometric information.

4. A method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining to initiate computation of the one or more computation closures; and

determining to gather respective results of the computation of the one or more computation closures,

wherein the respective results are stored in the one or more computation closures.

5. A method of claim 4, wherein the results are one or more isomorphic transformations.

6. A method of claim 4, wherein the input is a natural language input and the one or more analyses include a semantic analysis of the input, the method further comprising:

determining to estimate an outcome of the semantic analysis;

determining to bind the one or more computation closures with the estimated outcome to generate corresponding one or more estimated computation closures; and

determining to decompose the one or more estimated computation closures.

7. A method of claim 6, further comprising:

determining that at least a portion of the one or more estimated computation closures are not decomposed; and

determining to refine the one or more estimated computation closures based, at least in part, on the one or more estimated computation closures, the estimated outcome, or a combination thereof.

8. A method of claim 6, further comprising:

determining that substantially all of the one or more estimated computation closures are decomposed; and

determining to initiate computation of the one or more estimated computation closures based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to the all of the one or more estimated computation closures.

9. A method of claim 8, further comprising:

determining to gather respective other results of the computation of the one or more estimated computation closures;

determining to bind the respective other results to one or more user interface elements; and

determining to render the one or more user interface elements, the respective other results, or a combination thereof.

10. A method of claim 1, wherein the one or more analyses include signal processing analysis, semantic analysis, pitch analysis, isomorphic transformation, or a combination thereof.

11. An apparatus comprising:

at least one processor; and

at least one memory including computer program code for one or more programs,

the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus to perform at least the following,

determine to receive an input including, at least in part, biometric information;

determine one or more analyses for processing the input;

determine one or more processes associated with the one or more analyses;

determine to derive one or more computation closures from the one or more processes; and

determine to decompose the one or more computation closures for distribution in one or more computation spaces.

12. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine the one or more processes, the one or more computation closures, one or more corresponding information sets, or a combination thereof based, at least in part, on the biometric information.

13. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the distribution of the one or computation closures in the one or more computation spaces is based, at least in part, on the biometric information.

14. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to initiate computation of the one or more computation closures; and

determine to gather respective results of the computation of the one or more computation closures,

wherein the respective results are stored in the one or more computation closures.

15. An apparatus of claim 14, wherein the results are one or more isomorphic transformations.

16. An apparatus of claim 14, wherein the input is a natural language input and the one or more analyses include a semantic analysis of the input, the apparatus further caused to:

determine to estimate an outcome of the semantic analysis;

determine to bind the one or more computation closures with the estimated outcome to generate corresponding one or more estimated computation closures; and

determine to decompose the one or more estimated computation closures.

17. An apparatus of claim 16, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine that at least a portion of the one or more estimated computation closures are not decomposed; and

determine to refine the one or more estimated computation closures based, at least in part, on the one or more estimated computation closures, the estimated outcome, or a combination thereof.

18. An apparatus of claim 16, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine that substantially all of the one or more estimated computation closures are decomposed; and

determine to initiate computation of the one or more estimated computation closures based, at least in part, on the determination with respect to the all of the one or more estimated computation closures.

19. An apparatus of claim 18, wherein the apparatus is further caused to:

determine to gather respective other results of the computation of the one or more estimated computation closures;

determine to bind the respective other results to one or more user interface elements; and

determine to render the one or more user interface elements, the respective other results, or a combination thereof.

20. An apparatus of claim 11, wherein the one or more analyses include signal processing analysis, semantic analysis, pitch analysis, isomorphic transformation, or a combination thereof.
