1. A vehicle power supply system comprising:
- a chargeable power storage device;
a charging device configured to perform external charging for charging said power storage device using alternating-current power supplied from an external power supply;
an air conditioner receiving electric power from said charging device and said power storage device and air-conditioning a compartment in a vehicle;
an auxiliary machinery load receiving the electric power from said power storage device; and
a control device for controlling at least one of said charging device and said auxiliary machinery load as to increase the electric power output from said power storage device in a case where overcharging of said power storage device is expected when said air conditioner is intermittently operated during said external charging.
