a storage memory in communication with the one or more processors, the storage memory storing an enterprise application on a computer readable storage medium for providing automated decision in response to one or more events occurring within an enterprise supply chain application, wherein procurement operations comprising a set of instructions executable by the one or more processors to perform one or more operations comprise;
instructions for providing, at a computer system, a user interface for receiving input from a user;
instructions for designing a sense and response application;
instructions for deploying the sense and respond application;
instructions for modifying, by the sense and response application, a set of rules based on the user inputs;
instructions for detecting, by the sense and response application, a first event within the supply chain;
instructions for receiving, by the sense and response application, a first set of attributes associated with the first event;
instructions for analyzing the first set of attributes using at least pattern recognition;
instructions for determining, by the sense and response application, a first context information for the first event based at least on the first set of attributes;
instructions for analyzing the first context information;
instructions for interpreting the first context using a logic element;
instructions for checking a context inconsistency using the logic element;
instructions for resolving the context inconsistency if it is determined that the first contact information has the context inconsistency;
instructions for determining dependencies between the first event and the set of related events using at least the first context information; and
instructions for generating, by the sense and response application, a first set of one or more responses based on the first set of attributes and the dependencies using the set of rules and the first context information;

The method additionally includes analyzing the first set of attributes using at least pattern recognition. providing, at a computer system, a user interface for receiving input from a user; detecting a first event; receiving a first set of attributes associated with the first event; processing the first set of attributes; analyzing the first set of attributes using at least pattern recognition; determining a first context for the first event based at least on the first set of attributes; retrieving a set of related events based on the first contact and the first set of attributes; determining dependencies between the first event and the set of related events; generating a first set of responses based on the first set of attributes and the dependencies using a first set of rules; and providing, at the user interface, the first set of responses to the user.
