1. A medical device, comprising:

  • a support structure expandable from a contracted state to an expanded state, the support structure being configured for implantation within a fluid-carrying lumen of a subject;

    a valvular body located within the support structure; and

    a sealing member located on the support structure, the sealing member being configured to at least partially seal the region between the support structure and the fluid-carrying lumen, wherein the sealing member comprises a flexible outer membrane and a plurality of compressible members located within the membrane, each of the compressible members being biased to extend to an extended state and being compressible to allow the sealing member to conform to underlying tissue.
