- a 3D modeling module stored in memory and executable by a processor to create a 3D model of a surface of interest;
a ray trace module stored in memory and executable by the processor to take a ray trace from the sun to a plurality of points on the 3D model of the surface of interest at a plurality of times to represent multiple positions of the sun; and
a shading module stored in memory and executable by the processor to perform a shading calculation of the surface of interest based on the ray trace.
