  - 7. The apparatus of claim 6 wherein the head wearable item crown includes a front panel that forms a front wall of the compartment.
  - 8. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the compartment has a floor that is defined by a head wearable item brim, the compartment being configured to house a component of the electronic display circuit.
  - 9. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the compartment has a back wall that is defined by a cover member.
  - 10. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the back wall includes a radiofrequency radiation shield.
  - 11. The apparatus of claim 10 wherein the shield includes fabric that includes metal thread.
  - 12. The apparatus of claim 5 wherein the cover member is removable.
  - 13. The apparatus of claim 9 wherein the cover member includes a recess for a component of the electronic display circuit.

  - 27. The apparatus of claim 25 wherein the moisture resistant seal includes a front aspect that intervenes between the component and moisture that is outside the apparatus.
  - 28. The apparatus of claim 25 further including a removable water resistant membrane that is configured to:
    - provide a view of the component; and
      
      substantially protect the apparatus from moisture;
      
      wherein the component is a electronic display.
  - 29. The apparatus of claim 28 wherein the water resistant membrane includes a substantially transparent window that provides the view of the component.
  - 30. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising:
    - a head wearable item crown; and
      
      a head wearable item brim.
  - 31. The apparatus of claim 30 wherein the crown includes thermal insulation.
  - 32. The apparatus of claim 31 further comprising an ear covering that extends from the head wearable item crown.
  - 33. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the electronic display circuit includes a power source.
  - 34. The apparatus of claim 1 further comprising, in electronic communication with the electronic display circuit:
    - a first power source; and
      
      a second power source.
  - 35. The apparatus of claim 34 wherein the second power source is spaced apart from the first power source to balance a weight of the first power source and a weight of the second power source.
  - 36. The apparatus of claim 35 wherein:
    - the first power source includes a first battery; and
      
      the second power sources includes a second battery.
  - 37. The apparatus of claim 33 wherein the circuit includes a photovoltaic cell.
  - 38. The apparatus of claim 33 wherein the circuit includes a thermoelectric converter configured to convert heat flow into electrical current.
  - 39. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the body-engaging member includes a head-engaging member that is spaced apart from a head wearable item crown panel to provide clearance for a component of the electronic display circuit.
  - 40. The apparatus of claim 39 further comprising a web that extends from the head-engaging member to the crown panel.
  - 41. The apparatus of claim 40 wherein the web comprises an open cell mesh.
  - 42. The apparatus of claim 41 wherein the head-engaging member includes a sweatband.
  - 43. The apparatus of claim 40 wherein the web and the head-engaging member are of unitary construction.
  - 44. The apparatus of claim 43 wherein the web and the head-engaging member are formed from a band.
  - 45. The apparatus of claim 44 wherein the band comprises foam.

  - 53. The apparatus of claim 52 wherein the obtuse angle is in the range of approximately 80 to approximately 90 degrees.

    - the joint is a stitched seam; and
      
      the web includes a seam allowance corresponding to the stitched seam.
  - 55. The apparatus of claim 54 wherein the stitched seam binds the crown panel, a brim upper facing and brim lower facing.

    - a crown panel that is joined to a brim at a joint;
      
      the joint defines a border between an upper portion of a crown panel and a lower portion of a crown panel; and
      
      the lower portion forms a floor of the compartment.
  - 57. The apparatus of claim 56 wherein the floor is configured to engage a wearer forehead.
  - 58. The apparatus of claim 56 wherein:
    - the brim has an inner edge that is configured to receive a wearer forehead, the inner edge including a middle region, a left end and a right end; and
      
      the lower portion includes;
      
      a wide portion that corresponds to the middle region;
      
      a left tapered portion that corresponds to the left end; and
      
      a right tapered portion that corresponds to the right end.
  - 59. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the electronic display circuit includes machine-readable memory.
  - 60. The apparatus of claim 59 wherein the machine-readable memory includes an SD card.
  - 61. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the circuit includes a conductor on a board, the conductor configured to transmit a signal from a electronic display user control that is accessible from outside a head wearable item crown to a component of the electronic display circuit that is inside an outer surface of the head wearable item crown.
  - 62. The apparatus of claim 61 wherein the board is flexible.
  - 63. The apparatus of claim 62 further including a brim stiffening member that includes the board.
  - 64. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the circuit includes a touch control element.
  - 65. The apparatus of claim 64 wherein the touch control element is disposed on a brim.
  - 66. The apparatus of claim 64 wherein the touch control element includes a capacitive transducer.
  - 67. The apparatus of claim 1 wherein the electronic display circuit includes:
    - an electronic display; and
      
      a processor that is configured to;
      
      receive an image; and
      
      display the image on the electronic display.

    - the processor is configured to receive the image from the communication port; and
      
      the communication port includes an antenna that is configured to wirelessly receive the image from a remote device.

  - 70. The apparatus of claim 68 further comprising a receiver that is configured to receive a Bluetooth carrier signal that transmits the image.

82. A method for manufacturing a head wearable item, the method comprising:
- providing a crown panel;
  
  providing a head-engaging member; and
  
  arranging the head-engaging member to the crown panel to provide for insertion of a electronic display circuit component between the crown panel and the head-engaging member.

- - 83. The method of claim 82 wherein the arranging includes providing a web between the head-engaging member and the crown panel.
  - 84. The method of claim 83 wherein the providing includes:
    - stitching the crown panel to brim material to form a seam allowance; and
      
      arranging the seam allowance inside the head wearable item to form a floor of a compartment.
  - 85. The method of claim 83 wherein the arranging includes supporting the web so that, when the head-engaging member is in operation, the web forms an angle, relative to the crown panel, in the range of approximately 60 to approximately 120 degrees.
  - 86. The method of claim 83 wherein the arranging includes supporting the web so that, when the web is in operation, the web forms an angle, relative to the crown panel, in the range of approximately 80 to approximately 100 degrees.
  - 87. The method of claim 82 further comprising:
    - affixing a electronic display user control to a brim member; and
      
      passing a electronic display control conductor into a compartment, the electronic display control conductor having;
      
      a first end configured for electrical communication with a electronic display;
      
      and a second end in electrical communication with the electronic display user control.
  - 88. The method of claim 87 wherein the passing includes disposing a length of the electronic display control conductor in a seam allowance.
  - 89. The method of claim 82 further comprising:
    - affixing a electronic display communication port to a brim member; and
      
      passing a electronic display data communication cable through the seam allowance, the electronic display data communication cable having;
      
      a first end configured for data communication with the electronic display; and
      
      a second end in electrical communication with electronic display communication port.
  - 90. The method of claim 89 wherein the passing includes disposing a length of the electronic display data communication cable in a seam allowance.
  - 91. The method of claim 82 further comprising covering a brim with a lower facing that encloses a electronic display control conductor.

92. Apparatus comprising:
- a electronic display circuit that includes a display that faces away from the apparatus;
  
  a cover member that is configured to cover a portion of a electronic display circuit that is in electronic communication with the electronic display circuit; and
  
  machine-readable memory that is configured to store an image for display on the display.

  substantially protect the wearable item from moisture;

The apparatus of claim 134 wherein, when the head wearable item is one of a plurality of hats, the head wearable item electronic display circuit is one of a plurality of head wearable item electronic display circuits, each of the plurality of head wearable item electronic display circuits corresponding to one of the plurality of hats, the transmitter is configured to multicast the image to each of a plurality of head wearable item electronic display circuits.
  - 138. The apparatus of claim 131 wherein the image is part of a video segment.
  - 139. The apparatus of claim 131 further comprising a receiver module that includes hardware, wherein:
    - the transmitter module hardware is further configured to present an access key to an image licensor server; and
      
      the receiver module hardware is configured to receive from the image licensor the image.
  - 140. The apparatus of claim 139 wherein the processor module hardware is further configured to increment a counter corresponding to a receipt of the image and a royalty associated with the receipt.
  - 141. The apparatus of claim 139 wherein the processor module hardware is further configured to increment a counter corresponding to a transmission of the image to the electronic display circuit and a wearer fee associated with the transmission.

    - the receiver module hardware is further configured to receive the image in a first format; and
      
      the processor module hardware is further configured to convert the image into a second format.

- receiving from a user a selection of an image; and
  
  transmitting to the wearable item the image.
