Abstract

A non-aerosol two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition containing components (A) and (B) at a mass ratio (A)/(B) of from 0.2 to 10:

• • (A) a silicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 300 to 20,000 having a number-average particle diameter of from 0.05 to 20 μm, selected from the group consisting of dimethicone, dimethiconol, and amino-modified silicone and in an amount of from 0.1 to 6 mass %
  • (B) a water-soluble cationic polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 1,000,000, selected from the group consisting of polyquaternium-6, polyquaternium-7, polyquaternium-16, and polyquaternium-22,
  • wherein the composition consists of an oil-in-water emulsion layer and an aqueous layer.

Claims

1. A non-aerosol two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition, comprising components (A) and (B) at a mass ratio of (A)/(B) of from 0.2 to 10:

(A) a silicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 300 to 20,000 having a number-average particle diameter of from 0.05 to 20 μ

m, selected from the group consisting of dimethicone, dimethiconol, and amino-modified silicone and in an amount of from 0.1 to 6 mass %

(B) a water-soluble cationic polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of from 50,000 to 1,000,000, selected from the group consisting of polyquaternium-6, polyquaternium-7, polyquaternium-16, and polyquaternium-22,

wherein the composition consists of an oil-in-water emulsion layer and an aqueous layer.

2. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, further comprising from 0.05 to 5 mass % of an organic carboxylic acid or a salt thereof as component (C).

3. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, further comprising from 1 to 25 mass % of ethanol.

4. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, having a pH of from 2 to 6.5.

5. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the number average particle diameter of component (A) is from 0.1 to 10 μ

m.

6. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component (A) is dimethicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 1,000 to 15,000.

7. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component (A) is dimethiconol with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 1,000 to 15,000.

8. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component (A) is amino-modified silicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 300 to 10,000.

9. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein the content of component (B) is from 0.05 to 2 mass %.

The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, wherein component (C) is selected from the group consisting of glycolic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, malonic acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid, phthalic acid, oxalic acid, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid.

11. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, further comprising, as component (D), an organic solvent selected from the group consisting of the following (D1) to (D5) and having a C log P of from −

2 to 3;

(D1) an aromatic alcohol represented by the general formula (1);

12. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 11, wherein component (D) is selected from the group consisting of benzyl alcohol, cinnamyl alcohol, phenethyl alcohol, p-anisyl alcohol, p-methylbenzyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, and 2-benzyloxyethanol.

13. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 11, wherein the content of component (D) is from 0.01 to 5 mass %.

14. The two-layer separate type hair cosmetic composition according to claim 1, further comprising from 0.01 to 5 mass % of a surfactant.

15. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, further comprising from 1 to 25 mass % of ethanol.

16. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, having a pH of from 2 to 6.5.

17. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein the number average particle diameter of component (A) is from 0.1 to 10 μ

m.

18. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein component (A) is dimethicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 1,000 to 15,000.

19. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein component (A) is dimethiconol with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 1,000 to 15,000.

20. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein component (A) is amino-modified silicone with a number-average degree of polymerization of from 300 to 10,000.

21. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein the content of component (B) is from 0.05 to 2 mass %.

The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, wherein component (C) is selected from the group consisting of glycolic acid, lactic acid, malic acid, tartaric acid, citric acid, malonic acid, succinic acid, glutaric acid, adipic acid, maleic acid, fumaric acid, phthalic acid, oxalic acid, glutamic acid, and aspartic acid.

23. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, further comprising, as component (D), an organic solvent selected from the group consisting of the following (D1) to (D5) and having a C log P of from −

2 to 3;

(D1) an aromatic alcohol represented by the general formula (1);

24. The two-layer separate hair cosmetic composition according to claim 2, further comprising from 0.01 to 5 mass % of a surfactant.
