Abstract

The system method described herein could provide first responders search and rescue unite or emergency personal a tool to search scan and find trapped or people in distress in an emergency or disaster area where and when the communication infrastructure is damage or disabled, utilizing a mobile phone as emergency beacon.

Claims

1. A system and method for providing a mobile phone user in an emergency or disaster situation application method to increase the chances to be found and get help from search and rescue or emergency personal even when and where the cellular or other communications damage or fail to work, The method comprises the steps of:

An application software on the user mobile phone initiate by the user push button and

An emergency ID encoding into the mobile phone Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and cellular naming and

Initiate a beacon like operating of the mobile phone into beacon mode to preserve battery power say beacon mode will emit and broadcast signal with the encoding emergency naming and

A first responder scanning device design to scan the emergency/disaster area to detect and locate signal emit from the mobile phone and

The scanning device will detect and decode the mobile user ID to identify the user and his emergency information and

The user/victim can be found and save by the emergency first responder rescue team.

The method according to claim 1, which further comprises The method according to claim 1, which further comprises allowing encoding emergency information into the mobile phone Bluetooth and or Wi-Fi and cellular to be broadcast in a beacon mode say the encoding information can contain blood type or other critical emergency information to be decoded by the scannig4life device at the emergency/disaster event.

3. The method according to claim 1, wherein the beacon mode pertains to provide a way to preserve battery power in emergency situation when and where no cellular communications are available.

4. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises allowing encoding additional emergency information into the mobile phone naming say the information can be setup as profile to be used in emergency situation.

5. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises using the mobile phone as emergency beacon and not as cellular phone say the beacon mode will allow the mobile phone emit broadcast signal to be pick up detect and locate by the scanning4life scanner used by search and rescue unit.

6. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises a beacon mode design to emit broadcast Bluetooth signal and or Wi-Fi or cellular signal.

The application method in claim 1 wherein said the beacon mode can be broadcast high frequency sound wave save on the mobile phone application said that sound can be recognize and make attention by the search and rescue dogs and the scanning4life scanning device allowing long range detection and locating.

8. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises scanning for signal aim from the mobile phone in beacon mode say the scanning, will be for any signal emit from mobile phone, Bluetooth Wi-Fi and or cellular signal.

9. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises determining a current position of a user/victim by a scanning a signal broadcast from the user mobile phone, method of triangulation calculation can be used.

10. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises performing the determining step indoor or outdoor without the aid of a cellular communication and or global positioning satellite system or any other communication method that prone to be damage or fail to operate.

11. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises beacon mode that can set as a user profile of operating the mobile phone say the profile can be use to preserve mobile phone battery in emergency and non emergency events.

The method according to claim 1, which further comprises a method to be used in emergency and non emergency to detect and locate mobile user in distress or asking for help as well as in emergency and disaster situation say the method can be use in any place when and where GPS cannot be provided or is not accurate or precise enough to locate people in emergency or when the cellular communication fail.

15. The method according to claim 1, which further comprises a scanning4life device to be used by first responder or emergency personal say the scanner, can detect Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and cellular signal emit from the mobile phone.

16. The method according to claim 15, which further comprises the scanning device can detect and locate hi frequency sound emit and broadcast by the beacon/mobile phone say the sound can be attract to also the search and rescue dogs.

17. The method according to claim 15, which further Comprises the scanner unit which can be providing a GPS information of the detecting signal emit from the beacon/mobile phone.

The method according to claim 15, which further comprises a decoding done by the scanning 4 life scanner allowing to Identify the mobile user in distress from remote say the emergency information may contain additional medical information like blood type that can assist in a the rescue operation.
