Abstract

A system and method are provided for associating location data from one or more unique sources. The place and time of a unique location enabled device are associated with stored demographic information relating to the particular place and particular time. The place and time of the unique location enabled device are associated with a historical record of past locations and time of locations that the device has been. Based on the association of demographical information and historical information, the unique location enable device is assigned to one or more groups or tribes. The location of all members of the group or tribe can be aggregated and exported for further analysis or display, thereby showing all group or tribe members at a particular time and place.

35. A computer-implemented method comprising:

receiving, from a first device, information relating to a time and location of a unique identifier associated with a source object;

adding the information to a historical record of time and location for the unique identifier;

associating one or more tribes with the unique identifier based on the historical record;

determining location information corresponding to members of the one or more tribes;

providing to a user device the location information corresponding to members of the one or more tribes.

36. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein the first device comprises a computer, a cellular telephone, an automated teller-machine, a radio-frequency enabled device, a global positioning system enabled device, or a navigational device.

37. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein the first device includes the source object.

38. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein the first device is different from the source object.

39. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein associating one or more tribes with the unique identifier comprises:

determining at least one demographic profile based on the historical record of time and location information for the unique identifier; and

identifying the one or more tribes based on the at least one demographic profiles.

40. The computer-implemented method of claim 39, wherein determining the at least one demographic profile comprises identifying a demographic profile for each different time and location in the historical record.

41. The computer-implemented method of claim 40, wherein the at least one demographic profile comprises information relating to consumer trends.

42. The computer-implemented method of claim 40, wherein the at least one demographic profile comprises information relating to consumer profiles.

43. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein determining location information corresponding to members of the one or more tribes comprises determining a geographic location of the members.

44. The computer-implemented method of claim 35, wherein determining location information corresponding to members of the one or more tribes comprises determining a time and location of an event associated with the one or more tribes.
