1. A method of controlling data displayed by a multi-screen device, comprising:
- receiving a first rotation input, the first rotation input corresponding to an indication that the multi-screen device has been rotated a first time from a first open state to a different second open state, wherein data from a first application is displayed while the device is in the first open state on a first screen of the device and not on a second screen of the device, and wherein data from the first application is displayed on the first and second screens of the device in the second open state;
receiving a second rotation input, the second rotation input corresponding to an indication that the device has been rotated a second time after the first time;
after receiving the second rotation input, referencing display rules for the first application; and
displaying the first application on one of the first and second screens according to the display rules for the first application.
