Abstract

A spacer tape (9) for insulating glass (2) with at least two glass panes (3 and 5) consists of a substrate strip (21) and a hose (20) that is connected to the latter. The hose (20) can be pressed together, e.g., folded, so that its dimension, viewed crosswise to the longitudinal extension of the substrate strip (21), can be reduced, and the spacer tape (9) can be wound on drums. For use, the hose (20) is expanded, e.g., unfolded, and a compound (15), containing hygroscopic material, is introduced into its interior, which can take place by the longitudinally extending slot (25) in the hose (20). Then, the side walls (27) of the hose (20) are coated with adhesive (13), and at least two glass panes (3 and 5) of insulating glass (1) can be assembled with use of the spacer tape (9) as a spacer.

Claims

1. Spacer for insulating glass (1), characterized in that the spacer is a spacer tape (9), which consists of a substrate strip (21) and a hose (20) and in that the hose (20) can be pressed together.

2. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the hose (20) can be pressed together, in particular folded, to reduce its height that is measured crosswise to the longitudinal extension of the substrate strip (21).

3. Spacer according to claim 2, wherein the interior of the hose (20) of the spacer tape (9) is accessible by a longitudinally extending slot (25).

4. Spacer according to claim 2, wherein the hose (20) consists of two side walls (27) and two inner walls (29) facing the air gap (7) of insulating glass (1), where said walls form the slot (25) between them.

5. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein when the hose (20) is folded into its form with reduced height, the side walls (27) are laid flat or bent sharply into a layer that is approximately parallel to the substrate strip (21), and the inner walls (29) are moved toward the substrate strip (21).

6. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the side walls (27) are bent sharply toward the inside or the outside so that the hose (20) can be folded with increasing reduction of the angle between the sections of the side walls (27) and with moving the inside wall (29) to the substrate strip (21).

7. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the substrate strip (21) consists of metal, in particular stainless steel.

8. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the substrate strip (21) consists of plastic.

9. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the hose (20) consists of plastic.

10. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the hose (20) consists of elastic material.

11. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the side walls (27) are connected via a wall (25).

12. Spacer according to claim 1, wherein the hose (20) is connected via the wall (35) to the substrate strip (21).

13. Insulating glass with a spacer according to claim 1, which is arranged between two panes and is connected to the panes (3, 5) by strands that consist of adhesive (3), wherein the strands that consist of adhesive (13) encompass the lateral longitudinal edges of the substrate strip (21) (regions 14) and extend up to its outlying surface in the insulating glass (1).

14. Insulating glass according to claim 1 with two outside panes (3, 5) and a middle pane (4), wherein the middle pane (4) engages in the compound (15), in which desiccant is embedded, and is arranged within the hose (20) of the spacer (9).

Method for assembling insulating glass (1) with a spacer according to claim 1 and two glass panes (3, 5) that are connected to the spacer (9) via adhesive (13), wherein strands that consist of adhesive (13) are applied on the interiors of the panes (3, 5), and then the panes (3, 5) are connected, in particular pressed, with a spacer (9).

16. Method according to claim 15, wherein when the panes (3, 5) are pressed with a spacer (9), adhesive (13) is pressed around the lateral edges (21) of the substrate strip of the spacer (9) up to its exterior.

17. Method according to claim 16, wherein the adhesive compound (13) is pressed into the lateral walls (27) of the hose (20) of the spacer (9) when the insulating glass is assembled and pressed into recesses (28).

18. Spacer according to claim 3, wherein the hose (20) consists of two side walls (27) and two inner walls (29) facing the air gap (7) of insulating glass (1), where said walls form the slot (25) between them.
