Abstract

A mobile terminal is provided. The mobile terminal includes a display module and a controller. When a predetermined event is generated, the controller may display information related to the event and a first icon group including icons respectively corresponding to applications capable of executing functions using the information related to the event.

Claims

1. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display module; and

a controller displaying information related to a predetermined event and a first icon group including icons respectively corresponding to applications capable of executing functions using the information related to the event on the display module when the event is generated.

2. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein when a second icon group different from the first icon group is displayed before the event is generated, the controller replaces the second icon group with the first icon group when the event is generated.

3. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller selects the first icon group from icons stored in a memory of the mobile terminal based on at least one of attribute information of the event and the information related to the event.

4. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the controller calls the first icon group previously corresponding to the event.

5. The mobile terminal of claim 2, wherein the controller displays an icon corresponding to a specific function other than the icons included in the first icon group on the display module based on the attribute information of the event and the information related to the event.

6. The mobile terminal of claim 1, wherein the predetermined event relates to at least one of transmission/receiving of a message including at least one of a short message service (SMS) message, a multimedia messaging service (MMS) message and E-mail, transmission/receiving of a call, and alarm.

7. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display module displaying icons respectively corresponding functions; and

a controller displaying information related to a generated event when the event is generated, selecting one of the icons in response to a touch operation and executing a function corresponding to the selected icon using at least part of the information related to the event.

8. The mobile terminal of claim 7, wherein when the selected icon is changed, the at least part of the information related to the event, used to execute the function corresponding to the selected icon, is changed.

9. The mobile terminal of claim 7, wherein the touch operation includes at least one of an operation of moving a touch applied to the information related to the event to the selected icon and an operation of moving a touch applied to the selected icon to the information related to the event.

10. The mobile terminal of claim 7, wherein the controller changes the displayed icons when the event is changed.

11. The mobile terminal of claim 7, wherein the predetermined event relates to at least one of transmission/receiving of a message including at least one of a SMS message, a MMS message and E-mail, transmission/receiving of a call, and alarm.

12. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, comprising:

detecting generation of a predetermined event; and

displaying information related to the event and a first icon group including icons respectively corresponding to applications capable of executing functions using the information related to the event on a display module.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein the displaying of the first icon group on the display module comprises replacing a second icon group different from the first icon group with the first icon group and displaying the first icon group on the display module when the event is generated if the second icon group is displayed before the event is generated.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein the displaying of the first icon group on the display module comprises selecting the first icon group from icons stored in a memory of the mobile terminal based on at least one of attribute information of the event and the information related to the event and displaying the first icon group on the display module.

15. The method of claim 12, wherein the displaying of the first icon group on the display module comprises calling the first icon group previously corresponding to the event and displaying the first icon group on the display module.

16. The method of claim 13, further comprising displaying an icon corresponding to a specific function other than the icons included in the first icon group on the display module based on at least one of the attribute information of the event and the information related to the event.

17. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, comprising:

displaying icons respectively corresponding to functions; and

displaying information related to an event on a display module when the event is generated, selecting one of the icons in response to a touch operation, and executing a function corresponding to the selected icon using at least part of the information related to the event.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein the executing of the function corresponding to the selected icon using the at least part of the information related to the event comprises changing the at least part of the information related to the event, used to execute the function corresponding to the selected function, when the selected icon is changed.

19. The method of claim 17, wherein the touch operation includes at least one of an operation of moving a touch applied to the information related to the event to the selected icon and an operation of moving a touch applied to the selected icon to the information related to the event.
