1. An inserter device for inserting a medical device subcutaneously, inserter device comprising:
- a housing;
a cover which is slidably connected to the housing;
a hub for an insertion needle which can be moved linearly relative to the housing and relative to the cover;
a primary spring which moves the hub for the insertion needle relative to the cover and which primary spring is configured to pull the hub for the insertion needle either to a forward or to a retracted position; and
an activation member to be activated by the user for biasing the primary spring before insertion.
