Abstract

A system for influencing a state of a user including a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user and a light controller selectively controlling the emission of the light. The emission may include at least one of, the spectrum of said light; the duration of said light; the distribution of said light; the intensity of said light; and the timing of said light. The analysis engine provides a signal to the light controller indicating a desired emission of the light.

Claims

1. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including all of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) an analysis engine provides a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light.

2. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a profile of said user.

3. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a time of day.

4. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a physical location of said user.

5. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding environmental factors of said user.

6. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding social networking.

7. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding medical information.

8. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a light sensor associated with said user.

9. The system of claim 1 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a physiological sensor associated with said user.

10. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) an analysis engine capable of providing a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light based upon at least one of (a) a profile of said user and (b) an identification of a particular said user.

11. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from said profile from a mobile device.

12. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a time of day.

13. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a physical location of said user.

14. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding environmental factors of said user.

15. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding social networking.

16. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding medical information.

17. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a light sensor associated with said user.

18. The system of claim 10 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a physiological sensor associated with said user.

19. The system of claim 10 further comprising limiting exposure to said light based upon a safety factor.

37. The method of claim 10 wherein said analysis engine is based upon cloud computing.

20. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) an analysis engine capable of providing a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light;

(d) at least one of (a) a sensor capable of detecting a physiological parameter of said user and (b) a light sensor, and providing a signal indicative to said analysis engine and receiving a signal from said analysis engine.

21. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information from a profile of said user.

22. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a time of day.

23. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding a physical location of said user.

24. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding environmental factors of said user.

25. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding social networking.

26. The system of claim 20 further comprising said analysis engine obtaining information regarding medical information.

27. The system of claim 20 wherein said a light controller selectively controls said distribution of said light.

28. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) an analysis engine capable of providing a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light;

(d) a light sensor providing a signal indicative of sensed light to said analysis engine, which said analysis engine provide a safety output based upon said signal indicative of said sensed light.

29. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) at least one of (a) a sensor capable of detecting a physiological parameter of said user and (b) a light sensor, and capable of receiving a signal from an analysis engine and capable of providing a signal to said analysis engine;

(d) said analysis engine capable of providing a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light based upon at least one of said signal from said sensor and said light sensor.

30. The system of claim 29 wherein said analysis engine provides said signal to said sensor capable of detection said physiological parameter.

31. The system of claim 29 wherein said analysis engine provides said signal to said light sensor.

32. The system of claim 29 wherein said signal provided to said sensor capable of detecting said physiological parameter modifies parameters used for sensing by said sensor capable of detecting said physiological parameter.

33. The system of claim 29 wherein said signal provided to said sensor capable of detecting said physiological parameter modifies parameters used for sensing by said sensor capable of detecting said physiological parameter.

34. A method for influencing a state of a user comprising the steps of:

(a) emitting light influencing the state of the user from a light source;

(b) selectively controlling said emission of said light by a light controller including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) at least one of (a) a sensor capable of detecting a physiological parameter of said user and (b) a light sensor, receiving a signal from an analysis engine and providing a signal to said analysis engine;

(d) providing a signal from said analysis engine to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light based upon at least one of said signal from said sensor and said light sensor;

(e) wherein said user is provided use of the analysis engine based upon a service provider.

35. The method of claim 34 wherein said provided use is based upon a subscription.

36. The method of claim 35 wherein said analysis engine is based upon cloud computing.

38. A system for influencing a state of a user comprising:

(a) a light source for emitting light influencing the state of the user;

(b) a light controller selectively controlling said emission of said light including at least one of,

(1) the spectrum of said light;

(2) the duration of said light;

(3) the distribution of said light;

(4) the intensity of said light; and

(5) the timing of said light;

(c) an analysis engine capable of providing a signal to said light controller indicating a desired emission of said light;

(d) wherein said analysis engine is based upon a user profile of a particular said user.

39. The system of claim 38 wherein said light source is within a vehicle.

40. The system of claim 38 wherein said analysis engine is based upon a navigation system.

41. The system of claim 38 wherein said analysis engine is based upon a route in a navigation system.
