Abstract

A networked commercial interaction management method assembles information into bundles that include a data element reference and meta data describing the data element. The method distributes the meta data and the data element reference from the bundles through the network, and distributes copies of the data elements in the bundles from the network node of their respective data owners to the network nodes of accessors using the meta data and the data element reference distributed through the network. In at least one embodiment, the method periodically issues bundle version identifying signals to different nodes of the network. The bundle version identifying signals indicate changes to the data elements to the network nodes of accessors.

Claims

1. A networked computer system for managing commercial interactions, comprising:

a network;

at least one data source; and

a server operatively coupled to the network and the at least one data source, the server including a processor and memory storing instructions that, in response to receiving a request for access to a service, cause the processor to;

receive a data bundle comprising a bundle header and contents, wherein the header includes routing data and meta data, and wherein the meta data includes a plurality of item descriptors and values for the items;

check for predetermined conditions in the bundle; and

blend additional content into the bundle when the predetermined conditions are detected.

2. The system of claim 1 wherein the processor is caused to blend the additional content at least one of an aggregation server of a sender of the bundle, a core infrastructure of the system, or an aggregation server of a recipient of the bundle.

3. The system of claim 1 wherein at least one user application allows for the additional content to be blended at a computer desktop of a sender or a recipient of the bundle.

4. The system of claim 1 wherein the blending the additional content comprises the processor being caused to add content from any compatible data source as a layer to the bundle.

5. The system of claim 1 wherein the blending the additional content comprises the processor being caused to build a super bundle around the existing bundle.

6. The system of claim 1 wherein the blending the additional content comprises the processor being caused to transform the existing bundle.

7. The system of claim 1 wherein the blending the additional content comprises the processor being caused to add the additional content automatically as it passes through an aggregation server.

8. The system of claim 1 wherein the predetermined conditions are a user request for the additional content.

9. The system of claim 1 wherein the predetermined conditions are a presence of at least one meta data tag on the bundle, and wherein the processor is caused to blend the additional content into the bundle responsive to the presence of the tag.

10. The system of claim 9 wherein the meta data tag is a keyword having at least one value.

11. The system of claim 9 wherein the meta data tag is an Author, Firm, or Bundle Type.

12. The system of claim 9 wherein the meta data tag is a Ticker, Sector, Region or Country.

13. The system of claim 10 wherein the processor is further caused to:

gather statistics on use of the keyword and the at least one value associated with the keyword; and

gather statistics on behavior of users in response to bundles containing the keyword and the at least one value associated with the keyword.

14. The system of claim 13 wherein the processor is caused to gather at least one of the statistics on the use of the keyword and the statistics on the behavior of the users continuously, in near-real-time.

15. The system of claim 13 wherein the processor is further caused to:

distribute at least one of the statistics on the use of the keyword and the statistics on the behavior of the users according to an algorithm.
