Abstract

A heat spreading device of thermo siphon, the device comprising sectioning forming a first chamber portion and a second chamber portion, first plurality of conduits, and second at least two conduits, the second at least two conduits providing interconnection of the first and second chamber portions is disclosed. Integral parts/portions are provided, such as cavities, barrier and fins.

Claims

1. A heat spreading device of thermo siphon, the device comprising sectioning forming a first chamber portion and a second chamber portion within a closed volume of the device characterized by

first plurality of conduits, wherein the first plurality of conduits constitutes a first plurality of channels, the first plurality of conduits forming at least part of the interior of at least one of the first and second chamber portions;

and

second at least two conduits, at least one of the second at least two conduits providing interconnection of the first and second chamber portions;

wherein integral sectioning encapsulated within an enclosure provide the first and second chamber portions within the closed volume of the device.

5. The heat spreading device according to claim 1, comprising fins or ribs of an outer surface.

6. The heat spreading device according to claim 1 characterized by

a block of extruded profile comprising in the interior the first at least one conduit and the second at least one conduit.

7. The heat spreading device according to claim 6, comprising

a first interconnection cavity in the intermediary of both ends of the block of extruded profile, the first interconnection cavity interconnecting mutually at least part of the first plurality of conduits of the block of the extruded profile and jointly at least part of a first conduit of the second at least two conduits;

and

a second interconnection cavity in the intermediary of the first interconnection cavity and one end of the block of extruded profile, the second interconnection cavity interconnecting mutually at least part of the first plurality of conduits of the block of the extruded profile and jointly at least part of a second conduit of the second at least two conduits.

8. The heat spreading device according to claim 7, comprising a barrier between the first and second interconnection cavities.

9. The heat spreading device according to claim 6, comprising a barrier comprising sealed portions of the first at least one conduit.

10. The heat spreading device according to claim 6, wherein the block of extruded profile in the exterior comprises a plurality of fins.

The heat spreading device according to claim 10, wherein the fins are an integral part of the block extending in direction along the first at least one conduit and in a range perpendicular to the elongation of the first at least one conduit being provided over a range corresponding to at least some of the first at least one conduit.

12. The heat spreading device according to claim 6, where the extruded profile is an aluminum profile.

13. The heat spreading device according to claim 1, comprising a cavity closure enclosing at least the first plurality of conduits and at least one second at least two conduits in the ends of the block of the extruded profile.

14. The heat spreading device according to claim 1, wherein a piece of material provides at least part of a boundary surface of the enclosure of a closed volume, wherein the piece of material provides a boundary surface common to the first and the second chamber portions.

2. The heat spreading device according to claim I characterized by

a body comprising two plates which are copper plates or aluminum plates, the two plates being connected by welding.

3. The heat spreading device according to claim 2, comprising a structure forming evaporator, condenser, riser and downcomer in the two plates of the body of the device.

4. The heat spreading device according to claim 2, comprising a structure forming

a first interconnection cavity in the intermediary of the two ends of the second at least two conduits ending in the proximity of two opposite ends of the device, the first interconnection cavity interconnecting mutually at least part of the first plurality of conduits and jointly at least part of a first conduit of the second at least two conduits, and

a second interconnection cavity in the intermediary of the first interconnection cavity and one end of the second at least two conduits, the second interconnection cavity interconnecting mutually at least part of the first plurality of conduits of the block of the extruded profile and jointly at least part of a second conduit of the second at least two conduits.

15. The heat spreading device according to claim 4, wherein the first or second interconnection cavity forms a tapered volume portion.

16. A method of manufacturing a heat spreading device of thermo siphon comprising sectioning forming a first chamber portion, a second chamber portion, characterized in that

a first plurality of conduits, the first plurality of conduits forming at least part of the interior of at least one of the first and second chamber portions, are provided, and

the first and second chamber portions are interconnected by the second at least two conduits.

17. The method according to claim 16, characterized in that

two plates which are two copper or aluminum plates are connected by welding.

18. The method according to claim 17, wherein

a structure forming evaporator, condenser, riser and downcomer is formed in the two connected plates making up the body of the device.

19. The method according to claim 17, wherein an outer surface of the body of the device is enlarged by fins or ribs.

20. The method according to claim 16, characterized by

extrusion of a body comprising extruded the first plurality of conduits and the second at least one conduit;

making, in the intermediary of both ends of the block of extruded profile, an first interconnection cavity across the extruded conduits; and

making, in the intermediary of the first interconnection cavity and one end of the block of extruded profile, a second interconnection cavity across the extruded conduits.

21. The method according to claim 20, wherein the first and second interconnection cavities are made open.

22. The method according to claim 20, where the making is by machining.

23. The method according to claim 20, comprising inserting a barrier in a first interconnection cavity, thereby dividing the cavity into a first interconnection cavity and a second interconnection cavity.

24. The method according to claim 20, comprising sealing the first plurality of conduits between the first interconnection cavity and the second interconnection cavity.

25. The method according to claim 20, comprising fastening an interconnection-cavity lid covering at least one of the first interconnection cavity and the second interconnection cavity.

26. The method according to claim 20, comprising enclosing the first at least one conduit and at least one of the second at least two conduits in the ends of the block of the extruded profile.

27. The method according to claim 20, wherein the extrusion of a body comprising in the interior the first at least one conduit and the second at least one conduit also comprises extrusion of the body comprising in the exterior at least two fins along the extruded body.

28. The method according to claim 20, wherein the extrusion of a body comprises extrusion of an aluminum body.
