Abstract

A one- or two-component adhesive containing: a) a binding agent having reactive isocyanate groups or silane groups, and b) a nonreactive polymer having a glass transition temperature, measured by means of DSC, in the range from −40° C. to +60° C. This preferably has, in a cured state, at a temperature at least in the range from −10 to +50° C., a dynamic mechanical loss factor tan δ of at least 0.4 at a frequency in the range from 10 to 400 Hz. Use of an adhesive of this kind for the adhesive bonding of components in the manufacture or repair of vehicles, in particular for bonding windows into place in the context of direct glass bonding.

Claims

1. A one- or two-component adhesive containing

a) a binding agent having reactive isocyanate groups or silane groups;

b) a nonreactive polymer having a glass transition temperature, measured by means of DSC, in the range from −

40°

C. to +60°

C.

2. The adhesive according to claim 1, wherein it has in a cured state, at a temperature at least in the range from −

10 to +50°

C., a dynamic mechanical loss factor tan δ

of at least 0.4 at a frequency in the range from 10 to 400 Hz.

3. The adhesive according to at least one of claims 1 and 2, wherein polymer b) represents a block copolymer, and by preference has a configuration of:

aromatic polymer block—

aliphatic polymer block—

aromatic polymer block.

4. The adhesive according to claim 3, wherein the block copolymer represents a styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymer (SIS copolymer), and by preference has a styrene content in the range from 18 to 25 wt %.

5. The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 4, wherein polymer b) has a glass transition temperature, measured using DSC, in the range from −

10 to +30°

C.

6. The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 5, wherein it contains additional solvents, oils, and/or plasticizers that, as pure substances at standard pressure, respectively have a boiling point of at least 150°

C., by preference of at least 200°

C., and particularly preferably of at least 250°

C.

7. The adhesive according to claim 6, wherein it contains between 1 wt % and 50 wt %, by preference between 5 wt % and 30 wt %, particularly preferably between 10 wt % and 20 wt %, based on the total mass of the adhesive, of the aforesaid solvents, oils, and/or plasticizers.

8. The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 7, wherein the adhesive contains, in addition to components a) and b), a further polymer or resin, by preference a hydrocarbon resin, that exhibits a glass transition temperature, measured by means of DSC, that is at least 10°

C. higher than that of polymer b), but is equal to at least 0°

C., by preference at least 30°

C., and at most 120°

C., by preference at most 70°

C.

9. The adhesive according to claim 8, wherein it contains 1 to 50 wt %, by preference 5 to 35 wt %, and particularly preferably 10 to 25 wt %, based on the total mass of the adhesive, of the aforesaid further polymer or resin.

The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 9, wherein polymer b) is contained in binding agent a) heterogeneously in the form of particles, or is present distributed homogeneously therein, such that in both cases it can be enriched or mixed with the aforesaid solvents, oils, or plasticizers, or with the aforesaid further polymers or resins.

11. The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 10, wherein it contains a binding agent a) and/or a non-crosslinking oligomer based on polytetrahydrofuran.

The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 11, wherein it contains, based on the total mass of the adhesive, at least 10 wt %, by preference at least 30 wt %, and at most 90 wt %, by preference at most 50 wt %, binding agent having reactive isocyanate terminal groups or silane terminal groups.

13. The adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 13, wherein it contains, based on the total mass of the adhesive, at least 5 wt %, by preference at least 10 wt %, and at most 60 wt %, by preference at most 40 wt %, polymer b).

14. Use of an adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 13 for the adhesive bonding of components in the manufacture or repair of vehicles, by preference for bonding windows into place in the context of direct glass bonding.

15. A vehicle containing glass windows that have been bonded into place using an adhesive according to one or more of claims 1 to 13.
