Abstract
Methods and apparatus relating to very large scale FET arrays for analyte measurements. ChemFET (e.g., ISFET) arrays may be fabricated using conventional CMOS processing techniques based on improved FET pixel and array designs that increase measurement sensitivity and accuracy, and at the same time facilitate significantly small pixel sizes and dense arrays. Improved array control techniques provide for rapid data acquisition from large and dense arrays. Such arrays may be employed to detect a presence and/or concentration changes of various analyte types in a wide variety of chemical and/or biological processes. In one example, chemFET arrays facilitate DNA sequencing techniques based on monitoring changes in hydrogen ion concentration (pH), changes in other analyte concentration, and/or binding events associated with chemical processes relating to DNA synthesis.

an inlet conduit; an outlet conduit; a flow chamber comprising; a flow expansion member; a basin with a plurality of sensors disposed therein and at least one electrode in fluid communication with the basin; and a flow concentration member; wherein the flow chamber is in fluid communication with the inlet fitting through the inlet conduit and the outlet fitting through the outlet conduit; wherein fluid transported to the sensor through the inlet conduit is dispersed by the flow expansion member over the plurality of sensors and fluid transported away from the sensor by the outlet conduit is collected by the flow concentration member. - View Dependent Claims (108, 109, 110, 111, 112, 113)

114. A fluidic assembly for fluid transport associated with an array of sensors, the fluidic assembly comprising:

121. An assembly for fluidic transport comprising:
