Abstract

A method for managing hot cell devices includes receiving at least one of location information of at least one hot cell device, type information of at least one hot cell, location information of at least one terminal and uplink signal energy of at least one terminal measured by a hot cell device. The method also includes determining a hot cell device to be opened using the at least one of the location information of at least one hot cell device, the type information of at least one hot cell, the location information of at least one terminal and the uplink signal energy of at least one terminal. In addition, the method includes transmitting a message instructing the hot cell device to open.

Claims

1. A method for managing hot cell devices, the method comprises:

receiving at least one of location information of at least one hot cell device, type information of at least one hot cell, location information of at least one terminal and uplink signal energy of at least one terminal measured by a hot cell device;

determining a hot cell device to be opened using the at least one of the location information of at least one hot cell device, the type information of at least one hot cell, the location information of at least one terminal and the uplink signal energy of at least one terminal; and

transmitting a message instructing the hot cell device to open.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

indicating a load to be undertaken by the hot cell device to the hot cell device.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

configuring the hot cell device to be closed and to measure uplink signal energy of at least one terminal.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the location information of at least one hot cell device and the type information of at least one hot cell are received through a cell closing message.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the cell closing message is received in the process of establishing a X2 interface.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the location information of at least one hot cell device and the type information of at least one hot cell are received through an eNB configuration transmission message,

wherein the eNB configuration transmission message is received via Mobility Management Entity (MME).

7. A method for an operation of a hot cell device, the method comprises:

transmitting at least one of location information of the hot cell device, type information of a hot cell the hot cell device belongs and uplink signal energy of at least one terminal measured by the hot cell device;

receiving a message instructing the hot cell device to open; and

opening capabilities of the hot cell device.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the message comprises information indicating a load to be undertook by the hot cell device.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising:

determining whether to open capabilities partly or competently based on a load capacity of the hot cell device and the load indicated by the message.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein opening capabilities partly comprises, at least one of utilizing a part of bandwidth, utilizing a part of transmission antennas, and, configuring Multicast-Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) sub frames whose amount is larger than a threshold.

11. The method of claim 7, wherein the location information of the hot cell device and the type information of the hot cell are transmitted through a cell closing message.

12. The method of claim 11, wherein the cell closing message is transmitted in the process of establishing an X2 interface.

13. The method of claim 7, wherein the location information of the hot cell device and the type information of the hot cell are transmitted through an eNB configuration transmission message,

wherein the eNB configuration transmission message is transmitted via Mobility Management Entity (MME).

22. The apparatus of claim 8, wherein the controller is configured to determine whether to open capabilities partly or competently based on a load capacity of the hot cell device and the load indicated by the message.

23. The apparatus of claim 9, wherein the controller is configured to open capabilities partly by at least one of utilizing a part of bandwidth, utilizing a part of transmission antennas, and, configuring Multicast-Broadcast Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) sub frames whose amount is larger than a threshold.

14. An apparatus for managing hot cell devices, the apparatus comprises:

a communication unit configured to receive at least one of location information of at least one hot cell device, type information of at least one hot cell, location information of at least one terminal and uplink signal energy of at least one terminal measured by a hot cell device; and

a controller configured to determine a hot cell device to be opened using the at least one of the location information of at least one hot cell device, the type information of at least one hot cell, the location information of at least one terminal and the uplink signal energy of at least one terminal and controlling to transmit a message instructing the hot cell device to open.

15. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the controller is configured to indicate a load to be undertaken by the hot cell device to the hot cell device.

16. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the controller is configured to configure the hot cell device to be closed and to measure uplink signal energy of at least one terminal.

17. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the location information of at least one hot cell device and the type information of at least one hot cell are received through a cell closing message.

18. The apparatus of claim 17, wherein the cell closing message is received in the process of establishing an X2 interface.

19. The apparatus of claim 14, wherein the location information of at least one hot cell device and the type information of at least one hot cell are received through an eNB configuration transmission message,

wherein the eNB configuration transmission message is received via Mobility Management Entity (MME).

20. An apparatus for a hot cell device, the apparatus comprises:

a communication unit configured to transmit at least one of location information of the hot cell device, type information of a hot cell the hot cell device belongs and uplink signal energy of at least one terminal measured by the hot cell device, and, receiving a message instructing the hot cell device to open; and

a controller configured to open capabilities of the hot cell device.

21. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the message comprises information indicating a load to be undertaken by the hot cell device.

24. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the location information of the hot cell device and the type information of the hot cell are transmitted through a cell closing message.

25. The apparatus of claim 24, wherein the cell closing message is transmitted in the process of establishing an X2 interface.

26. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the location information of the hot cell device and the type information of the hot cell are transmitted through an eNB configuration transmission message,

wherein the eNB configuration transmission message is transmitted via Mobility Management Entity (MME).
