Abstract

A method for transmitting a signal for cell searching in a mobile communication system having a multi-cell environment includes transmitting the signal to one or more receiving party devices within a cell, wherein the signal is used for a synchronization of the one or more receiving party devices within the cell, the signal is defined by a combination of a first code sequence derived from a first index and a second code sequence derived from a second index, and an identity of the cell is used for defining the combination of the first code sequence and the second code sequence.

Claims

1. A method for transmitting a signal for cell searching in a mobile communication system having a multi-cell environment, the method comprising:

transmitting the signal to one or more receiving party devices within a cell,

wherein the signal is used for a synchronization of the one or more receiving party devices within the cell,

wherein the signal is defined by a combination of a first code sequence derived from a first index and a second code sequence derived from a second index, and

wherein an identity of the cell is used for defining the combination of the first code sequence and the second code sequence.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the signal is defined by a concatenation of the first code sequence and the second code sequence at a frequency domain.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the identity of the cell is defined using a combination of the first index and the second index.

4. A method for receiving a signal for cell searching in a mobile communication system having a multi-cell environment, the method comprising:

receiving the signal from a transmitting party device;

performing a synchronization based on the received signal, wherein the signal is defined by a combination of a first code sequence derived from a first index and a second code sequence derived from a second index; and

finding an identity of the cell using the combination of the first code sequence and the second code sequence.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the signal is defined by a concatenation of the first code sequence and the second code sequence at a frequency domain.

6. The method of claim 4, wherein the identity of the cell is defined using a combination of the first index and the second index.
