a filtrate pump;
an infusion pump;
a dialyzer, arterial and venous blood lines in fluid communication with the dialyzer, the blood pump positioned and arranged to pump blood within the arterial and venous blood lines;
a dialysis fluid line in fluid communication with the dialyzer, the dialysis fluid pump positioned and arranged to pump dialysis fluid within the dialysis fluid line;
a spent dialysis fluid line in fluid communication with the dialyzer, the filtrate pump positioned and arranged to remove ultrafiltration via the spent dialysis fluid line;
an infusion line in fluid communication with one of the arterial and venous blood lines, the infusion pump positioned and arranged to pump an infusion solution within the infusion line; and
a controller in operable communication with the blood pump, dialysis fluid pump, filtrate pump and infusion pump, the controller configured to synchronize operation of the infusion pump to the blood pump or the filtrate pump.
