Abstract

A method for displaying screens on the touch screen of a mobile device includes displaying, on a first screen, at least two or more object items and an object item group within which at least two or more object items are arranged at a first set interval and rearranging and displaying the object items included in the object item group at a second set interval when an input is received that displays the object item group. When a touch or drag gesture is applied to the group of object items displayed at the first set interval, the object items are then displayed at a second set interval on the screen of a mobile device.

Claims

1. A method for displaying screens on a touch screen of a mobile device, comprising:

displaying, on a first screen, at least two or more object items and an object item group within which at least two or more object items are arranged at a first set interval; and

rearranging and displaying the object items included in the object item group at a second set interval when an input is received to display the object item group.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising creating the object item group by:

sensing a selection input applied to an object item displayed on a screen;

dragging the selected object item and dropping it on a location where object items other than the selected object item, or where the object item group is displayed; and

creating the object item group by rearranging the selected object item, the object item displayed on the dropped location, or the object items included in the object item group at the first set interval.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein the creating of the object item group comprises:

piling up at least two or more object items at a location.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein when said input is a touch gesture, rearranging and displaying the object items comprises:

displaying a second screen;

identifying object items in the object item group; and

rearranging and displaying the identified object items on the second screen at a second set interval.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein the creating of the object item group comprises piling up at least two or more object items at a location and wherein said rearranging and displaying the identified object items on the second screen at a second set interval comprises:

moving the object items, piled up in the object item group on the first screen, to the second screen from the top to the bottom in order, and rearranging them in a grid form.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein, when said input is a drag gesture, the second set interval is a certain degree of tilt.

7. The method of claim 6, wherein said rearranging and displaying the object items comprises:

identifying, when the drag gesture is received, the object items included in the object item group; and

expanding and displaying the identified object items in the drag direction and/or the direction opposite to the drag direction, while maintaining the certain degree of tilt.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein said expanding and displaying the identified object items further comprises expanding the object items successively arranged, while being attached to each other, while maintaining the certain degree of tilt;

and

arranging adjacent object items in such a manner that the bottom surface of the upper object item contacts the upper surface of the lower object item.

9. The method of claim 8, further comprising:

entering a scroll mode when the object items included in the object item group are expanded to exceeding a preset distance; and

scrolling the object items when a scrolling gesture is performed.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein entering a scroll mode comprises:

displaying a third screen; and

displaying the object items included in the object item group on the third screen,

wherein the third screen is displayed in such a manner that the top and bottom contact the top and bottom of a display unit of the mobile device.

11. A mobile device for displaying items and rearranging displayed items within screens on a touch screen, comprising:

a touch screen for displaying, on a first screen, at least two or more object items and an object item group within which at least two or more object items are arranged at a first set interval; and

a controller for rearranging and displaying the object items included in the object item group at a second set interval when an input is received that displays the object item group.

12. The mobile device of claim 11, wherein the controller:

senses a selection input applied to an object item;

senses an input gesture of dragging the selected object item and of dropping the selected object item on a location where object items other than the selected object item or an object item group is displayed; and

creates the object item group by rearranging the selected object item, the object item displayed on the dropped location, or the object items included in the object item group at the first set interval.

13. The mobile device of claim 12, wherein the controller creates the object item group by piling up at least two or more object items.

14. The mobile device of claim 11, wherein the controller:

ascertains that an input is a touch gesture;

displays a second screen;

identifies object items in the object item group; and

rearranges and displays the identified object items in the object item group on the second screen at a second set interval.

15. The mobile device of claim 14, wherein the controller:

moves the object items piled up in the object item group on the first screen to the second screen from the top to the bottom in order; and

rearranges the moved object items in a grid form.

16. The mobile device of claim 11, wherein, when said input is a drag gesture, the second set interval is a certain degree of tilt.

17. The mobile device of claim 16, wherein the controller ascertains that the drag gesture is received;

identifies the object items included in the object item group; and

expands and displays the identified object items in the drag direction and/or the direction opposite to the drag direction, while maintaining the displayed identified object items with a certain degree of tilt.

18. The mobile device of claim 17, wherein the controller expands the displayed identified object items with said certain degree of tilt while being attached to each other;

and

arranges the adjacent object items in such a manner that the bottom surface of the upper object item contacts the upper surface of the lower object item.

19. The mobile device of claim 18, wherein the controller enters a scroll mode when the object items included in the object item group are expanded to exceed a preset distance and scrolls the object items when a scrolling gesture is performed.

20. The mobile device of claim 19, wherein the controller displays the object items included in the object item group on a third screen when entering the scroll mode and wherein the third screen is displayed in such a manner that a top and bottom of the third screen contact a top and bottom of a display unit of the mobile device.
