Abstract

The invention relates to a reaction product of a polar modified polymer and an alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent.

Claims

1. A reaction product of at least one polar modified polymer and at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent.

2. The reaction product of claim 1, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble polar modified polymer.

3. The reaction product of claim 1, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble high carbon polar modified polymer.

4. The reaction product of claim 1, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is a polypropylene and/or polyethylene-maleic anhydride modified wax.

5. The reaction product of claim 1, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.

6. A composition comprising:

(a) a reaction product of at least one polar modified polymer and at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent; and

(b) at least one oil carrier.

7. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble polar modified polymer.

8. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble high carbon polar modified polymer.

9. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is a polypropylene and/or polyethylene-maleic anhydride modified wax.

10. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

11. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.

12. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is present in an amount of from about 0.01 to about 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

13. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one oil carrier is chosen from volatile oils and non-volatile oils.

14. The composition of claim 6, wherein the at least one oil carrier is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

15. The composition of claim 6, wherein the composition is an emulsion.

16. The composition of claim 6, wherein the composition is anhydrous.

17. The composition of claim 6, further comprising at least one desired agent.

18. The composition of claim 6, further comprising at least one colorant.

19. The composition of claim 6, further comprising water.

20. The composition of claim 19, further comprising hyaluronic acid.

21. The composition of claim 19, further comprising an auxiliary agent chosen from at least one surfactant.

22. A method of making up and/or caring for a keratinous material comprising applying onto the keratinous material in an amount sufficient to care for or to make up the keratinous material, a composition comprising:

(a) a reaction product of at least one polar modified polymer and at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent; and

(b) at least one oil carrier.

23. The method of claim 22, wherein the composition further comprises at least one desired agent.

24. The method of claim 22, wherein the composition further comprises at least one colorant.

25. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble polar modified polymer.

26. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble high carbon polar modified polymer.

27. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is a polypropylene and/or polyethylene-maleic anhydride modified wax.

28. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

29. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.

30. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is present in an amount of from about 0.01 to about 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

31. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one oil carrier is chosen from volatile oils and non-volatile oils.

32. The method of claim 22, wherein the at least one oil carrier is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

33. The method of claim 22, wherein the composition further comprises water.

34. The method of claim 33, wherein the composition further comprises hyaluronic acid.

35. The method of claim 33, wherein the composition further comprises an auxiliary agent chosen from at least one surfactant.

36. A composition comprising:

(a) at least one polar modified polymer;

(b) at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent;

(c) at least one oil carrier;

(d) optionally, water;

(e) optionally, a desired agent; and

(f) optionally, an auxiliary agent.

37. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble polar modified polymer.

38. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is an oil-soluble high carbon polar modified polymer.

39. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is a polypropylene and/or polyethylene-maleic anhydride modified wax.

40. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one polar modified polymer is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 30% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

41. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane.

42. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one alkoxysilane having at least one solubilizing functional group and at least one amino substituent is present in an amount of from about 0.01 to about 10% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

43. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one oil carrier is chosen from volatile oils and non-volatile oils.

44. The composition of claim 36, wherein the at least one oil carrier is present in an amount ranging of from about 1 to about 90% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.

45. The composition of claim 36, wherein the composition is an emulsion.

46. The composition of claim 36, wherein the composition is anhydrous.

47. The composition of claim 36, wherein the desired agent includes at least one colorant.

48. The composition of claim 36, wherein water is present in an amount of from about 1 to about 75% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition.
