Abstract

Certain examples provide systems, methods, and apparatus for healthcare configuration based on location information. An example method for location-driven configuration of a healthcare system includes receiving location information from a location device; predicting a destination of the location device based on the location information and one or more parameters associated with the location device; and communicating with a healthcare system at the destination to configure the healthcare system based on the one or more parameters associated with the location device.

Claims

1. A location-based clinical information retrieval system comprising:

a memory to include instructions for execution by a processor; and

a processor to execute instructions stored in the memory to provide;

a location subsystem to receive location information from a location device and predict a destination of the location device based on the location information and one or more parameters associated with the location device, the location subsystem to communicate with a healthcare subsystem at the destination to configure the healthcare subsystem based on the one or more parameters associated with the location device.

2. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of a care provider carrying the location device.

3. The system of claim 1, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of equipment with which the location device is transported.

4. The system of claim 1, wherein the location subsystem is to match a patient with the predicted destination.

5. The system of claim 1, wherein the location subsystem is to communicate with decision support regarding the destination.

6. The system of claim 1, wherein the healthcare subsystem includes at least one of a clinical information system, a clinical data storage, and an imaging modality.

7. The system of claim 1, wherein the location subsystem determines a geolocation of the location device.

8. The system of claim 1, wherein the healthcare subsystem provides information to the location device based on communication from the location subsystem.

9. The system of claim 1, wherein the location subsystem is to arrange a review of a plurality of patients based on location information from the location device.

10. A tangible computer readable storage medium including executable program instructions which, when executed by a computer processor, cause the computer to implement a location-based clinical information retrieval system comprising:

a location subsystem to receive location information from a location device and predict a destination of the location device based on the location information and one or more parameters associated with the location device, the location subsystem to communicate with a healthcare system at the destination to configure the healthcare system based on the one or more parameters associated with the location device.

11. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of a care provider carrying the location device.

12. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of equipment with which the location device is transported.

13. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the location subsystem is to match a patient with the predicted destination.

14. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the location subsystem is to communicate with decision support regarding the destination.

15. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the healthcare system includes at least one of a clinical information storage medium, a clinical data storage, and an imaging modality.

16. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the location subsystem determines a geolocation of the location device.

17. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the healthcare system provides information to the location device based on communication from the location subsystem.

18. The storage medium of claim 10, wherein the location subsystem is to arrange a review of a plurality of patients based on location information from the location device.

19. A method for location-driven configuration of a healthcare system, said method comprising:

receiving location information from a location device;

predicting a destination of the location device based on the location information and one or more parameters associated with the location device; and

communicating with a healthcare system at the destination to configure the healthcare system based on the one or more parameters associated with the location device.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of a care provider carrying the location device.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the one or more parameters associated with the location device include an identification of equipment with which the location device is transported.

22. The method of claim 19, further comprising matching a patient with the predicted destination.

23. The method of claim 19, further comprising providing information to the location device based on the destination.

24. The method of claim 19, further comprising arranging a review of a plurality of patients based on location information from the location device.
