Abstract

A system includes retrieval of a markup language file defining a business process comprising a plurality of steps, each of the plurality of steps associated with a plurality of actions, and automatic generation of code executable to present a first user interface associated with a first one of the plurality of steps, the first user interface comprising a first plurality of user interface controls. Each of the first plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a plurality of actions associated with the first one of the plurality of steps.

Claims

1. A method implemented by a computing system in response to execution of program code by a processor of the computing system, comprising:

retrieving a markup language file defining a business process comprising a plurality of steps, each of the plurality of steps associated with a plurality of actions; and

automatically generating code executable to present a first user interface associated with a first one of the plurality of steps, the first user interface comprising a first plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the first plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a plurality of actions associated with the first one of the plurality of steps.

2. A method according to claim 1, further comprising:

automatically generating code executable to present a second user interface associated with a second one of the plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of the plurality of actions associated with the second one of the plurality of steps.

3. A method according to claim 2, wherein a third user interface comprises the first user interface and the second user interface.

4. A method according to claim 1, further comprising:

transmitting the code to a client device.

5. A method according to claim 1, wherein the first user interface comprises an area including at least one user interface element to execute the one of the plurality of actions.

6. A method according to claim 1, further comprising:

retrieving a markup language file defining a second business process comprising a second plurality of steps, each of the second plurality of steps associated with a second plurality of actions; and

automatically generating code executable to present a second user interface associated with a first one of the second plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a second plurality of actions associated with the first one of the second plurality of steps.

7. A method according to claim 1, further comprising:

presenting the first user interface and the second user interface in a same workspace.

8. A non-transitory medium storing processor-executable program code, the program code executable by a device to:

retrieve a markup language file defining a business process comprising a plurality of steps, each of the plurality of steps associated with a plurality of actions; and

automatically generate code executable to present a first user interface associated with a first one of the plurality of steps, the first user interface comprising a first plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the first plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a plurality of actions associated with the first one of the plurality of steps.

9. A medium according to claim 8, the program code further executable by a device to:

automatically generate code executable to present a second user interface associated with a second one of the plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of the plurality of actions associated with the second one of the plurality of steps.

10. A medium according to claim 9, wherein a third user interface comprises the first user interface and the second user interface.

11. A medium according to claim 8, the program code further executable by a device to:

transmit the code to a client device.

12. A medium according to claim 8, wherein the first user interface comprises an area including at least one user interface element to execute the one of the plurality of actions.

13. A medium according to claim 8, the program code further executable by a device to:

retrieve a markup language file defining a second business process comprising a second plurality of steps, each of the second plurality of steps associated with a second plurality of actions; and

automatically generate code executable to present a second user interface associated with a first one of the second plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a second plurality of actions associated with the first one of the second plurality of steps.

14. A medium according to claim 8, the program code further executable by a device to:

present the first user interface and the second user interface in a same workspace.

15. A system comprising:

a computing device comprising;

a memory system storing processor-executable program code; and

a processor to execute the processor-executable program code in order to cause the computing device to;

retrieve a markup language file defining a business process comprising a plurality of steps, each of the plurality of steps associated with a plurality of actions; and

automatically generate code executable to present a first user interface associated with a first one of the plurality of steps, the first user interface comprising a first plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the first plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a plurality of actions associated with the first one of the plurality of steps.

16. A system according to claim 15, the processor to further execute the processor-executable program code in order to cause the computing device to:

automatically generate code executable to present a second user interface associated with a second one of the plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of the plurality of actions associated with the second one of the plurality of steps.

17. A system according to claim 16, wherein a third user interface comprises the first user interface and the second user interface.

18. A system according to claim 15, the processor to further execute the processor-executable program code in order to cause the computing device to:

transmit the code to a client device.

19. A system according to claim 15, wherein the first user interface comprises an area including at least one user interface element to execute the one of the plurality of actions.

20. A system according to claim 15, the processor to further execute the processor-executable program code in order to cause the computing device to:

retrieve a markup language file defining a second business process comprising a second plurality of steps, each of the second plurality of steps associated with a second plurality of actions; and

automatically generate code executable to present a second user interface associated with a first one of the second plurality of steps, the second user interface comprising a second plurality of user interface controls,

wherein each of the second plurality of user interface controls is selectable to execute a respective one of a second plurality of actions associated with the first one of the second plurality of steps.

21. A system according to claim 15, the processor to further execute the processor-executable program code in order to cause the computing device to:

present the first user interface and the second user interface in a same workspace.
