Abstract

The present invention provides a bioinformation acquisition apparatus in which when light is radiated to a test object, a flux of light emitted outside from the test object through diffusion effect in the object is reused, improving use efficiency of the radiated light. The apparatus having a light source for radiating a flux of light to the test object and a detector for detecting a signal output based on radiation of the flux of light, includes a reflective member adapted to reflect a flux of light emitted out of the test object when the flux of light is radiated thereto, the reflective member is placed closer to an irradiation area on a surface of the test object than the light source to cover at least a part of the irradiation area from above, and configured to be equal to or larger than the irradiation area.

Claims

1. A bioinformation acquisition apparatus comprising:

a light source for radiating a flux of light to a test object;

a detector for detecting a signal output based on radiation of the flux of light to the test object, and

a reflective member adapted to reflect a flux of light emitted out of the test object when the flux of light is radiated to the test object,

wherein said reflective member is placed closer than said light source to an irradiation area of the flux of light on a surface of the test object, so as to cover at least a part of the irradiation area from above, and configured to be equal to or larger in size than the irradiation area.

2. The bioinformation acquisition apparatus according to claim 1, wherein:

the radiation of the flux of light to the test object is oblique irradiation of the surface of the test object; and

said reflective member is placed so as to cover an entire top surface of the irradiation area without blocking the flux of light produced by the oblique irradiation.

4. The bioinformation acquisition apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said reflective member includes a concave-shaped reflecting portion to reflect the flux of light emitted out of the test object.

5. The bioinformation acquisition apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said detector is an acoustical wavedetector adapted to detect an acoustical wave acting as the signal.

6. The bioinformation acquisition apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said reflective member is made of a member which transmits an acoustical wave and is placed between said acoustical wave_detector and the irradiation area.

3. The bioinformation acquisition apparatus according to cm 1, wherein said reflective member is made of a metal or a dielectric.
