Abstract

An apparatus and a method search a route using a portable terminal. A controller establishes a call connection with another party and exchanges positional information with the other party. An analyzing unit analyzes the route information using a first positional information of the portable terminal and a second positional information of the other party. A displaying unit outputs the route information analyzed by the analyzing unit. The controller provides the route information analyzed by the analyzing unit.

Claims

1. An apparatus for providing route information in a portable terminal, the apparatus comprising:

a controller configured to establish a call connection with another party and exchange positional information with the other party;

an analyzing unit configured to analyze the route information using a first positional information of the portable terminal and a second positional information of the other party; and

a displaying unit configured to output the route information analyzed by the analyzing unit,

wherein controller is further configured to output the route information analyzed by the analyzing unit to the displaying unit.

2. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to provide the route information using one of a map data interface and an augmented reality interface.

3. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the analyzing unit is further configured to set the first positional information as a starting point and the second positional information of the other party as a destination when moving toward the other party, and analyze a route between the starting point and the destination.

4. The apparatus of claim 3, wherein the controller is further configured to check the first positional information before arriving at the destination, and process the changing first positional information to be transmitted to the other party.

5. The apparatus of claim 1, wherein the analyzing unit is further configured to set the first positional information as a destination and set the second positional information of the other party a starting point when being located at the destination, and analyze a route between the starting point and the destination.

6. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the controller is further configured to provide the position of the other party moving toward the destination using a changed second positional information received from the other party.

7. The apparatus of claim 5, wherein the controller is further configured to inform the other party of a deviation from the route when the other party deviates from the route toward the destination.

8. A method for providing route information in a portable terminal, the method comprising:

establishing a call connection with another party;

exchanging positional information with the other party; and

providing route information using a first positional information of the portable terminal and a second positional information of the other party.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party comprises using, one of a map data interface and an augmented reality interface.

10. The method of claim 8, wherein providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party comprises:

providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party;

setting the first positional information as a starting point and the second positional information of the other party as a destination when moving toward the destination; and

analyzing the route between the starting point and the destination.

11. The method of claim 10, wherein providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party further comprises:

verifying the first positional information being altered until arriving at the destination; and

transmitting the first positional information being altered to the other party.

12. The method of claim 8, wherein providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party further comprises:

setting the first positional information as the destination and the second positional information of the other party as the starting point when located at the destination; and

analyzing a route between the starting point and the destination.

13. The method of claim 12, wherein providing, the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party further comprises:

providing the first positional information moving toward the destination using the altered second positional information received from the other party.

14. The method of claim 12, wherein providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party further comprises:

informing the other party of a deviation from a route when the other party deviates from the route to the destination.

15. A non-transitory computer-readable medium for use in a portable device, the non-transitory computer-readable medium coupled to a controller and configured to store a plurality of instructions, the plurality of instructions configured to cause the controller to:

establish a call connection with another party;

exchange positional information with the other party; and

provide route information using a first positional information of the portable terminal and a second positional information of the other party.

16. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the plurality of instructions further are configured to cause the controller to provide the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party by using one of a map data interface and an augmented reality interface.

17. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the plurality of instructions further are configured to cause the controller to provide the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party by:

providing the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party;

setting the first positional information as a starting point and the second positional information of the other party as a destination when moving toward the destination; and

analyzing the route between the starting point and the destination.

18. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 17, wherein the plurality of instructions further are configured to cause the controller to provide the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party by:

verifying the first positional information being altered until arriving at the destination; and

transmitting the first positional information being altered to the other party.

19. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 15, wherein the plurality of instructions further are configured to cause the controller to provide the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party by:

setting the first positional information as the destination and the second positional information of the other party as the starting point when located at the destination; and

analyzing a route between the starting point and the destination.

20. The non-transitory computer-readable medium of claim 19, wherein the plurality of instructions further are configured to cause the controller to provide the route information using the first positional information and the second positional information of the other party by:

providing the first positional information moving toward the destination using the altered second positional information received from the other party.
