1. A charger system for use in a vehicle to charge a vehicle battery, the charger system comprising:
- a first charger configured to connect to a vehicle bus, having a first master indication digital input, and being configured to decode the first master indication digital input to determine a first role as either a master charger or a slave charger, wherein when the first role is determined as the master charger the first charger configures the connection to the vehicle bus to use a master node message set, and when the first role is determined as the slave charger the first charger configures the connection to the vehicle bus to use a slave node message set; and
a second charger configured to connect to the vehicle bus, having a second master indication digital input, and being configured to decode the second master indication digital input to determine a second role as either a master charger or a slave charger, wherein when the second role is determined as the master charger the second charger configures the connection to the vehicle bus to use the master node message set, and when the second role is determined as the slave charger the second charger configures the connection to the vehicle bus to use the slave node message set.

Abstract
A charger system for use in a vehicle to charge a vehicle battery includes a first charger and a second charger. The chargers are connected to a vehicle bus. Each charger has a master indication digital input and decodes the input to determine its role as master charger or slave charger. The master charger configures its connection to the vehicle bus to use a master node message set. The slave charger configures its connection to the vehicle bus to use a slave node message set.
