- receiving, at a network processing component, a request for 3D content;
determining a 3D-compatible format based on the request;
receiving, by a decoding system, an encoded first video signal and an encoded second video signal, wherein the first video signal corresponds to a first video content for a first eye of a viewer, and wherein the second video signal corresponds to a second video content for a second eye of the viewer;
decoding, by the decoding system, the encoded first video signal;
decoding, by the decoding system, the encoded second video signal;
synchronizing, by a synchronization system, the first decoded video signal with the second decoded video signal into a synchronized video signal;
formatting said synchronized video signal to said 3D-compatible format; and
transmitting the synchronized and formatted video signal over a network.

receiving, at a network processing component, a request from user premise equipment; determining a 3D-compatible format based on a request from the user premise equipment; receiving, by a decoding system, an encoded first video signal and an encoded combined signal, where the first video signal corresponding to a first video content for a first eye of a viewer, and where encoded combined signal comprises a second video signal corresponding to a second video content for a second eye of the viewer and an audio signal; decoding, by the decoding system, the encoded first video signal; decoding, by the decoding system, the encoded combined signal into a first video signal and an audio signal; synchronizing the first video signal with the second video signal and the audio signal into a synchronized video signal; formatting said synchronized video signal to said 3D-compatible format; and transmitting the synchronized and formatted video signal. - View Dependent Claims (19, 20)
