1. A hydraulic injection system configured to inject bone cement, the hydraulic injection system comprising:

  • a cement cartridge assembly including a plunger and a cartridge body that defines an interior cavity that slidably supports the plunger such that the plunger defines a barrier surface that is movable in the interior cavity from a first position to a second position so as to eject fluid out the interior cavity;

    a hydraulic injector comprising a housing that defines a fluid chamber, a fluid reservoir in fluid communication with the fluid chamber, a piston that has a first piston end that is at least partially disposed within the fluid chamber, a suction check valve that is disposed between the fluid reservoir and the fluid chamber, wherein the suction check valve allows fluid to travel along a direction from the fluid reservoir toward the fluid chamber, and prevents fluid from traveling from the fluid chamber to the fluid reservoir, and at least one outlet port that is in fluid tight communication with the fluid chamber; and

    at least one conduit configured to fluidly interconnect the at least one outlet port of the hydraulic injector and the cement cartridge assembly so as to place the fluid chamber and the interior cavity of the cartridge body in fluid communication with each other.
