Abstract

The present invention provides a method for processing multi-touch input in a touch screen terminal in which application programs in form of subordinate sub-windows are displayed by detecting a movement and the number of touch flickings; and switching between sub-windows opened in the corresponding application program or between the application programs depending on the number of touch flickings.

Claims

1. A method for interfacing a displayed content on a touch-screen providing a plurality of application programs in form of subwindows during a multi-tasking mode, the method comprising,

detecting a movement of a number of touch flickings on the touch screen;

and

switching between the sub-windows opened in the corresponding application program or between the application programs depending on the number of touch flickings detected.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising,

scrolling the content shown in a present window in a direction of the movement if one touch flicking is detected.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein if two touch flickings are detected, switching between the sub-windows opened in the corresponding application program, and if three touch flickings are detected, switching between the application programs.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein one of the application programs is a browser displaying a tab-window as a sub-window.

5. A method for scrolling a displayed content on a touch screen according to multi-touch flickings in a multi-touch terminal, the method comprising:

detecting a movement of a number of touch flickings on the touch screen; and

scrolling the displayed content shown in the corresponding window in a direction of the movement, wherein an amount or a speed of the scrolling is proportionate to the number of the touch flickings detected.

6. An apparatus for processing a displayed content on a touch-screen providing a plurality of application programs in form of sub-windows during a multi-tasking mode, comprising,

a controller for detecting a movement of a number of touch flickings on the touch screen and for switching between opened sub-windows in the corresponding application program touch flickings or switching between the application programs depending on the number of the touch flickings detected.

7. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein the controller scrolls the content shown in a present window in a direction of the movement if one touch flicking is detected.

8. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein if two touch flickings are detected, the controller switches between sub-windows opened in the corresponding application programs, and if three touch flickings are detected, the controller switches between the application programs.

9. The apparatus of claim 6, wherein one of the application programs is a browser displaying a tab-window as a sub-window.

10. An apparatus for processing a displayed content on a touch-screen according to a multi-touch, comprising:

a controller for detecting a movement of a number of touch flickings on the touch screen and for scrolling the content shown in the corresponding window in a direction of the movement, wherein an amount or a speed of the scrolling is proportionate to the number of the detected touch flickings.
