Abstract

System(s) and method(s) are provided for collection and communication of data on handset attachment procedure, or visitation, to one or more femto cells to provide location information. A mobility component receives actual subscriber and femto access point (AP) attachment signaling and extracts visitation data that facilitates generation of real-time or historical visitation reports. Location information is conveyed through visitation reports which can include mobile device identifier(s), femto AP location, and a timestamp. Visitation reports also can include processed visitation data such as mobility matrices, historical mobility patterns or profiles, and predicted mobility events. Provision of location information occurs without the need for dedicated handset functionality, and associated hardware, or additional battery draw.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

determining, by a system, a portion of location intelligence that satisfies a selected criterion; and

delivering, by the system based on the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion, information to a set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving, by the system, the location intelligence from the set of sources.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining, by the system, the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion comprises determining a first set of location intelligence, wherein the first set of location intelligence is a set of location intelligence without error.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining, by the system, the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion comprises determining a recently received set of location intelligence as the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining, by the system, the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion comprises:

determining, by the system, a first set of location intelligence, wherein the first set of location intelligence is a set of location intelligence without error;

determining, by the system, whether a second set of location intelligence is more recently received than the first set of location intelligence; and

determining, by the system, the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion as the second set of location intelligence based, at least, on determining, by the system, that the second set of location intelligence is more recently received than the first set of location intelligence.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the determining, by the system, the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion comprises determining a set of the location intelligence associated with a selected non-real-time service.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein the delivering information comprises delivering an advertisement to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence.

8. The method of claim 1, wherein the delivering information comprises delivering an on-demand service for the set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the delivering information comprises delivering driving directions to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the delivering information comprises delivering pattern-specific location services to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence based, at least, on a generated historical mobility profile.

11. A system, comprising:

a memory that stores computer-executable instructions;

a processor, communicatively coupled to the memory, that facilitates execution of computer-executable instructions to at least;

receive location information from a set of sources;

determine a portion of the location information that satisfies a selected criterion; and

deliver, based on the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion, information to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location information.

12. The system of claim 11, wherein determination of the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion comprises a determination of a first set of location information as the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion, wherein the first set of location information is a set of location information without error.

13. The system of claim 11, wherein determination of the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion comprises a determination of a most recently received set of location information as the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion.

14. The system of claim 11, wherein determination of the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion comprises:

a determination of a first set of location information, wherein the first set of location information is a set of location information without error;

a determination of whether a second set of location information is more recently received than the first set of location information; and

a determination of the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion as the second set of location information based, at least, on determination that the second set of location information is more recently received than the first set of location information.

15. The system of claim 11, wherein determination of the portion of the location information that satisfies the selected criterion comprises a determination of a set of the location information associated with a selected non-real-time service.

16. The system of claim 11, wherein delivery of information comprises delivery of an advertisement to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location information.

17. The system of claim 11, wherein delivery of information comprises delivery of on-demand services for the set of sources associated with the portion of the location information.

18. A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer-executable instructions that, in response to execution, cause a computing device including at least one processor to perform operations, comprising:

assessing location intelligence from a set of sources;

determining a portion of the location intelligence that satisfies a selected criterion; and

delivering, based on the portion of the location intelligence that satisfies the selected criterion, information to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location intelligence.

19. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein the delivering comprises delivering pattern-specific location services associated with the portion of the location information based, at least, on generation of a historical mobility profile.

20. The non-transitory computer readable storage medium of claim 18, wherein the delivering comprises delivering an advertisement to the set of sources associated with the portion of the location information.
