1. An exercise training device, comprising:
- an elastic resistance cord having a first end and a second end; and
a harness;
wherein the harness is releasably attached to the first end of the elastic resistance cord and is wearable on the exterior of the foot or footwear of a user, such that the connection of the elastic resistance cord to the harness is positioned at the heel of the user; and
wherein the second end of the elastic resistance cord is anchored to an anchoring object separate from the user.

Abstract
The present invention relates to an exercise training device and methods of use. The exercise training device comprises a harness that is worn on the exterior of the foot or shoe of a user, and an elastic resistance cord that releasably attaches to the harness, such that the connection between the elastic resistance cord and harness is positioned at the heel of the user. The exercise training device is used to improve the strength and balance of a user. For example, use of the device improves the throwing motion of a baseball pitcher.
