1. A patient interface configured to be at least partially carried by a patient and to receive gas exhaled by the patient, wherein said patient interface, comprising:

  • first and second cannula tubes each having a first end and a second end, said first ends configured to be inserted into the nostrils of a patient, said first and second cannula tubes configured to direct exhaled gas from the patient from said first ends to said second ends;

    first and second sensors positioned near said second ends and configured to be carried by the patient, said first and second sensors configured to provide first and second signals based upon said gas, wherein said first and second signals are indicative of a physiological parameter of said patient; and

    a communications link configured to provide said signal to a physiological monitor.
