Abstract

In general terms, embodiments of the present invention relate to apparatuses, methods, and computer program products for presenting information associated with a real estate listing in an augmented reality environment. For example, in some embodiments, a method is provided that includes (a) receiving positioning information from a mobile device; (b) identifying, based at least partially on the positioning information, a real estate property; (c) determining that the real estate property is subject to a real estate listing; and (d) presenting, via the mobile device, information that indicates that the real estate property is subject to a real estate listing.

Claims

1. A method implemented by a computing device, wherein the computing device determines whether a real estate property is subject to a real estate listing, the method comprising:

receiving positioning information from a mobile device;

identifying, based at least partially on the positioning information, the real estate property;

determining if the real estate property is subject to a real estate listing; and

presenting, via the mobile device, information about the real estate listing.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving positioning information comprises receiving GPS coordinates.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving positioning information comprises receiving directional information.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein receiving positioning information comprises receiving information associated with an image.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein receiving information associated with an image comprises receiving the image.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein identifying, based at least partially on the positioning information, a real estate property comprises identifying the address of a real estate property.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein determining if the real estate property is subject to a real estate listing comprises comparing the address of the real estate property to an address associated with a real estate listing;

8. The method of claim 1, wherein presenting, via the mobile device, information about the real estate listing comprises presenting an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein presenting, via the mobile device, information about the real estate listing comprises displaying, on a display of the mobile device, an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein displaying, on a display of the mobile device, the indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing comprises superimposing, over a real-time video stream being captured by the mobile device, a graphical indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises the step of displaying, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property specifications.

12. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises the step of displaying, on a display of the mobile device, Multiple Listing Service information.

13. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises the step of displaying, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property comparisons.

14. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises the step of displaying, on a display of the mobile device, the listed price of the real estate property

15. The method of claim 9, wherein the method further comprises the step of displaying, on a display of the mobile device, tax record information of the real estate property.

16. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

presenting, via the mobile device, an offer to take out a loan to purchase the real estate property.

17. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

determining that the mobile device is capturing a real-time video stream that shows the real estate property before presenting, via the mobile device, the information about the real estate listing.

18. The method of claim 8, wherein presenting the indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing comprises presenting an indicator that can be selected by a user of the mobile device to display information about the real estate property.

19. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

compiling a database of real estate listings.

20. An apparatus for determining whether a real estate property is subject to a real estate listing, wherein the apparatus comprises:

a communication device; and

a processing device communicably coupled to the communication device, wherein the processing device is configured to;

receive positioning information from a mobile device;

identify, based at least partially on the positioning information, the real estate property;

determine if the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing; and

present, via the mobile device, information about the real estate listing.

21. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the positioning information comprises GPS coordinates.

22. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the positioning information comprises directional information.

23. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the positioning information comprises information associated with an image.

24. The apparatus of claim 23, wherein the information associated with an image comprises the image.

25. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the processor is further configured to identify the address of the real estate property.

26. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the processor is further comprised to compare the address of the real estate property to an address associated with a real estate listing;

27. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the information about the real estate listing is an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

28. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

29. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to superimpose, over a real-time video stream being captured by the mobile device, a graphical indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

30. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property specifications.

31. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, Multiple Listing Service information.

32. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property comparisons.

33. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, the listed price of the real estate property

34. The apparatus of claim 28, wherein the processor is further configured to display, on a display of the mobile device, tax record information of the real estate property.

35. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the processor is further configured to present, via the mobile device, an offer to take out a loan to purchase the real estate property.

36. The apparatus of claim 20, where in the processor is further configured to determine that the mobile device is capturing a real-time video stream that shows the real estate property before presenting the information about the real estate listing.

37. The apparatus of claim 27, wherein the indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing comprises an indicator that can be selected by a user of the mobile device to display information about the real estate property.

38. The apparatus of claim 20, wherein the processor is further configured to compile a database of real estate listings.

39. A computer program product for determining whether a real estate property is subject to a real estate listing, the computer program product comprising a non-transitory computer-readable medium, wherein the non-transitory computer-readable medium comprises computer executable program code stored therein, the computer-executable program code comprising:

a first executable portion configured for receiving positioning information from a mobile device;

a second executable portion configured for identifying, based at least partially on the positioning information, the real estate property;

a third executable portion configured for determining if the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing; and

a fourth executable portion configured for presenting information about the real estate listing.

40. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the positioning information comprises GPS coordinates.

41. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the positioning information comprises directional information.

42. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the positioning information comprises information associated with an image.

43. The computer program product of claim 42, wherein the information associated with an image comprises the image.

44. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein identifying, based at least partially on the positioning information, a real estate property comprises identifying the address of the real estate property.

45. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein determining if the real estate property is subject to a real estate listing comprises comparing the address of the real estate property to an address associated with a real estate listing;

46. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein presenting information about the real estate listing comprises presenting an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

47. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein presenting information about the real estate listing comprises displaying, on a display of the mobile device, an indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

48. The computer program product of claim 47, wherein the fourth executable portion is further configured for superimposing, over a real-time video stream being captured by the mobile device, a graphical indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing.

49. The computer program product of claim 47, further comprising a fifth executable portion configured for displaying, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property specifications.

50. The computer program product of claim 47, further comprising a fifth executable portion configured for displaying, on a display of the mobile device, Multiple Listing Service information.

51. The computer program product of claim 47, further comprising a fifth executable portion configured for displaying, on a display of the mobile device, real estate property comparisons.

52. The computer program product of claim 47, further comprising a fifth executable portion configured for displaying, on a display of the mobile device, the listed price of the real estate property

53. The computer program product of claim 47, further comprising a fifth executable portion configured for displaying, on a display of the mobile device, tax record information of the real estate property.

54. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the computer-executable program code further comprises a fifth executable portion configured for presenting an offer to take out a loan to purchase the real estate property.

The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the computer-executable program code further comprises a fifth executable portion configured for determining that the mobile device is capturing a real-time video stream that shows the real estate property before presenting the information about the real estate listing.

56. The computer program product of claim 46, wherein the indication of whether the real estate property is subject to the real estate listing comprises an indicator that can be selected by a user of the mobile device to display information about the real estate property.

57. The computer program product of claim 39, wherein the computer-executable program code further comprises a fifth executable portion configured for compiling a database of real estate listings.
