Abstract

The invention concerns a connection device for connecting a first reservoir with a second reservoir, having

• • a first section (11) for arranging the first reservoir (5) closed with a seal (51);
  • a second section (12) for arranging the second reservoir; and
  • a piercing element (2) which penetrates with a piercing end (21) the seal (51) of the first reservoir (5) when the first reservoir (5) is arranged at the first section (11).

According to the invention, the piercing element (2) can be moved from a first position into a second position, wherein it blocks in the first position a flow connection between the first and the second section (11, 12), while in the second position it allows for a flow connection between the first and the second section (11, 12).

Claims

1. Connection device for connecting a first reservoir with a second reservoir, having

a first section (11) for arranging the first reservoir (5) closed with a seal (51);

a second section (12) for arranging the second reservoir; and

a piercing element (2), which penetrates with a piercing end (21) the seal (51) of the first reservoir (5) when the first reservoir (5) is arranged at the first section (11),

characterized in that

the piercing element (2) comprises a channel and can be moved from a first position into a second position, wherein

in the first position the channel of the piercing element (2) is closed and a flow connection between the first and the second section (11, 12) is blocked, while

in the second position the channel of the piercing element (2) is released and a flow connection between the first and the second section (11, 12) is made possible.

Connection device according to claim 1, characterized in that the piercing element (2) is moved into the second position when as a result the first reservoir (5) is arranged at the first section (11), that it is brought into an end position relative to the first section (11), wherein the piercing element (2) is designed and arranged in such a way that it can be returned into the first position when the first reservoir (5) is moved from the end position and away from the second section (12) of the connection device (1).

3. Connection device according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the piercing element (2) is arranged in movable fashion in a passage opening (3) relative to the first and the second section (11, 12).

4. Connection device according to claim 3, characterized in that

via the channel in the second position of the piercing element (2) a flow connection is formed between the first and the second section (11, 12) of the connection device (1), wherein

in the first position of the piercing element (2) a marginal section of the passage opening (3) adjoins the piercing element (2) and blocks a flow connection via the channel between the first and the second section (11, 12).

Connection device according to claim 4, characterized in that the channel is designed in the form of a cavity (22) extending in the interior of the piercing element (2), which channel runs from an entry opening (211) located in the area of its piercing end (21) to at least one exit opening (23).

Connection device according to claim 5, characterized in that the exit opening (23) is arranged in such a way that in the first position of the piercing element (2) it is located on a surface of the marginal section of the passage opening (3) facing the piercing end (21) and in the second position of the piercing element (2) it is located on a surface of the marginal section of the passage opening (3) facing away from the piercing end (21).

Connection device according to claim 6, characterized in that the piercing element (2) is designed in the form of a hollow body, preferably basically as a hollow cylinder, and the exit opening (23) runs basically in radial direction, wherein the end of the piercing element (2) spaced from the piercing end is closed.

8. Connection device according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the channel is formed as a recess in an outer surface of the piercing element (2).

9. Connection device according to any one of claims 3 to 8, characterized in that at least in the area of its marginal section the passage opening (3), which closes the channel of the piercing element when the piercing element (2) is in the first position, is restricted by a elastic element.

10. Connection device according to claim 9, characterized in that in the first position the channel of the piercing element (2) is closed through the elastic element.

11. Connection device according to claim 9 or 10, characterized in that in the first position the piercing element (2) extends into the elastic element or through the elastic element.

Connection device according to claim 9, 10 or 11 as appropriate referring back to claim 5, characterized in that the marginal section of the passage opening adjoining the piercing element (2) is formed by a section of the elastic element, wherein in the first position of the piercing element (2) the exit opening (23) is closed by said section or the exit opening (23) is situated on a side of said section of the elastic element facing the first section (11) of the connection device.

Connection device according to claim 11 or 12, characterized in that the elastic element is designed according to the type of a membrane (4), wherein the piercing element (2) runs through the membrane (4) and the section adjoining the piercing element (2) is formed by a section (42) of the membrane (4), which rests like a lip against the outer surface of the piercing element (2).

14. Connection device according to claim 13, characterized in that the piercing element (2) runs through an opening formed in the membrane (4) in the form of a recess or is pierced through an originally continuous section of the membrane (4).

15. Connection device according to any one of claims 3 to 14, characterized in that the first section (11) is formed in the form of a cup-like receptacle and a bottom (112) of the first section (11) has an opening (1121), which forms a section of the passage opening (3).

Connection device according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the piercing element (2) comprises means for enhancing a friction force between an outer surface of the piercing element (2) and a section of the seal (51) of the first reservoir (5), which after penetrating the piercing end (21) of the piercing element (2) adjoins the outer surface of the piercing element (2), wherein the means for enhancing the friction force comprise friction-enhancing structures in the outer surface of the piercing element (2), in particular a roughing of the outer surface, and/or a friction-enhancing coating arranged at the outer surface of the piercing element.

17. Connection device according to any one of the previous claims, characterized by a limit stop (63), which defines the second position of the piercing element (2).

18. Connection device according to any one of the previous claims, characterized in that the piercing element (2) comprises at least one discharge opening (260).

Connection device according to the previous claim, characterized in that the discharge opening (260) is inserted in a casing of a piercing element (2) which is designed at least in sections as a hollow body, preferably inserted in a piercing element (2) which is basically designed as a hollow cylinder.

Connection device according to any one of the two preceding claims, characterized in that the discharge opening (260) is arranged in the piercing element (2) in such a way, that when the piercing element (2) is in the second position, in which a flow connection (11, 12) is made possible between the first and the second section (11), it is located at least in sections in an interior of a reservoir (5) arranged at the first section (11).
