1. An optical measurement system, comprising a main optical measurement device and a portable optical measurement device, whereinsaid main optical measurement device comprises:
- a first case;
a first plurality of first light sending devices (A) irradiating a subject with light;
a first plurality of first light receiving devices (B) receiving light emitted from said subject;
a display device;
a first holder to be worn on the head of said subject, to which at least through holes are provided to support the first plurality of first light sending devices and the first plurality of first light receiving devices; and
a control unit provided inside said first case for controlling said first light sending devices and said first light receiving devices so as to obtain measurement data on the brain'"'"'s activity and display the measurement data on the display device, andsaid portable optical measurement device comprises;
a second case that is portable by a subject;
a second plurality of second light sending devices (C) irradiating the subject with light;
a second plurality of second light receiving devices (D) receiving light emitted from said subject;
a second holder to be worn on the head of said subject, to which through holes are provided to support the second plurality of second light sending devices and the second plurality of second light receiving devices;
a control unit provided inside said second case for controlling said second plurality of second light sending devices and said second plurality of second light receiving devices so as to obtain measurement data on the brain'"'"'s activity; and
a communication unit that can communicate with said main optical measurement device, wherein(C+D)≧
(A+B) is satisfied, andthe communication unit of said portable optical measurement device transmits the measurement data obtained by the control unit of said portable optical measurement device to the main optical measurement device.

Abstract
An optical measurement system having a main and a portable optical measurement devices. The portable optical measurement device is provided with a second case portable by the subject, C second light sending means for illuminating the subject, D second light receiving means receiving light emitted from the subject, a second holder worn on the head of the subject and having at least (C+D) through holes therein, a control unit acquiring measurement data relating to a brain activity while controlling the second light sending and receiving means, and a communication unit communicating with the main optical measurement device, that (C+D)>(A+B) is satisfied, and that the communication unit of the portable optical measurement device transmits the measurement data acquired by the control unit of the portable optical measurement device to the main optical measurement device.
