Abstract

A mobile station is arranged to determine its location, which is searched against street addresses from a database, and at least one matching street address is retrieved. The street address is searched on the mobile station and/or over the network. The search engine conducts a search in the mobile station file system and/or the Internet and/or a file system over the network with the at least one query term, —at least one search result is arranged to be displayed to user on the screen of the mobile station. This facilitates on-demand effortless Mobile Internet Search that allows the users to access opportunities that they did not know about, or would not have had time to find out about with minimum effort as the software of the mobile phone is scanning the Internet and information pages for these opportunities and displaying the results dynamically on the mobile phone screen.

Claims

1. An electronic transaction method, comprising:

sending a short range information page signal (200) from at least one computer;

receiving said signal (210) by at least one mobile station in range;

searching said information pages with at least one query term (220) with at least one mobile station software and/or said computer software; and

showing at least one search result on a display of the mobile station (230).

2. The mobile search method as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one of phases (200, 210, 220, 230) is conducted automatically, and a transition from any of the following:

phase 200 to phase 210 and/or phase 210 to phase 220 and/or phase 220 to phase 230 is automatic or all said transitions are automatic.

3. The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein a user may enter the query term into the mobile station (30, 40, 500, 600) by text input or speech and said search results are ranked based on said user query term.

4. The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one query term is generated by the mobile station software.

5. The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein a user accesses at least one webpage that is listed in said search results (240).

The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein at least one search result is a webpage with an electronic form and the mobile station software automatically fills one or more entries on the electronic form based on data in the memory or storage of the mobile station (240, 820).

7. The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mobile station stores and/or prints a file of the search result and/or filled electronic form and stores said file (70).

8. The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 7, wherein said file is stored and/or sent to a different computer over the network (730), data in said file is inputted into a financial and/or archiving software (740).

The electronic transaction method as claimed in claim 1, wherein as the mobile station changes location, some short range information page signal will come into range and some short range information page signals will fall out of range and a new search is conducted based on changed information page signals, and optionally results of said search are displayed on the mobile station (30, 40, 500, 600) screen.

The mobile station as claimed in claim 1, wherein as the mobile station changes location, some short range information page signal will come into range and some short range information page signals will fall out of range and a new search is arranged to be conducted based on changed information page signals, and optionally results of said search are arranged to be displayed on the mobile station (30, 40, 500, 600) screen.

34. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein provided at least one search result reaches a certain relevance level, the mobile station produces a sound, light and/or vibration signal.

35. The method as claimed in claim 1, wherein a click-through rate from a user and/or mobile station location is stored for at least one search result.

10. A mobile station, wherein:

at least one computer is arranged to send a short range information page signal to said mobile station (200),

the mobile station in range is arranged to receive said information page signal (210),

at least one mobile station software and/or said computer software is arranged to search said information pages with at least one query term (220),

at least one search result is arranged to be shown on the display of the mobile station (230).

11. The mobile station as claimed in claim 10, wherein any of phases (200, 210, 220, 230) is arranged to be conducted automatically, and a transition from any of the following:

phase 200 to phase 210 and/or phase 210 to phase 220 and/or phase 220 to phase 230 is arranged to be automatic.

12. The mobile station as claimed in claim 10, wherein the mobile station (30, 40, 500, 600) is arranged to receive a user specified term by text input or speech and said search results are ranked based on said user term.

13. The mobile station as claimed in claim 10, wherein at least one webpage that is listed in said search results (340, 440) is arranged to be provided to the user (550) for accessing.

The mobile station as claimed in claim 10, wherein at least one search result is a webpage with an electronic form and the mobile station software is arranged to automatically fill one or more entries on the electronic form based on data in the memory and/or data storage of the mobile station (840).

15. The mobile station as claimed in claim 10, wherein the mobile station is arranged to store and/or print a file of the search result and/or filled electronic form and store said file (70).

16. The mobile station as claimed in claim 15, wherein said file is stored and/or sent to a different computer over the network (730), data in said file is inputted into a financial and/or archiving software (740).

18. A network server (531), wherein:

the network server is arranged to send a short range information page signal to mobile station (200),

the mobile station in range is arranged to receive said information page signal (210),

at least one mobile station software and/or network server is arranged to search said information pages with at least one query term (220), and

at least one search result is arranged to be shown on the display of the mobile station (230).

19. The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein at least one of phases (200, 210, 220, 230) is arranged to be conducted automatically, and a transition from any of the following:

phase 200 to phase 210 and/or phase 210 to phase 220 and/or phase 220 to phase 230 is arranged to be automatic or all said transitions are arranged to be automatic.

20. The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein the mobile station (30, 40, 500, 600) is arranged to receive a user specified term by text input or speech and said search results are ranked based on said user term.

21. The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein at least one webpage that is listed in said search results is arranged to be provided to the user for accessing (240).

The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein at least one search result is a webpage with an electronic form and the mobile station software and/or network server automatically fills one or more entries on the electronic form based on data in the memory and/or data storage of the mobile station and/or network server (240, 820).

23. The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein the mobile station stores and/or prints a file of the search result and/or filled electronic form and stores said file in at least one network server.

24. The network server as claimed in claim 23, wherein said file is arranged to be stored and/or sent to a different computer over the network (730), and data in said file is arranged to be inputted into financial and/or archiving software (740).

The network server as claimed in claim 18, wherein as the mobile station changes location, some short range information page signal will come into range and some short range information page signals will fall out of range and a new search is arranged to be conducted based on changed information page signals, and optionally results of said search are arranged to be displayed on the mobile station'"'"'s (30, 40, 500, 600) screen.

26. A software program product, wherein:

at least one information page signal is arranged to be sent by a computer and a short range communication link (200),

at least one mobile station in said range is arranged to receive said signal (210),

said software program product searches said information pages with at least one query term (220) received from said mobile station, and

at least one search result is arranged to be shown on the display of the said mobile station (230).

27. The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein at least one of phases (200, 210, 220, 230) is arranged to be conducted automatically, and a transition from any of the following:

phase 200 to phase 210 and/or phase 210 to phase 220 and/or phase 220 to phase 230 is arranged to be automatic or all of said transitions are arranged to be automatic.

28. The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein the software program product is arranged to receive a user specified term by text input or speech and said search results are arranged to be ranked based on said user term.

29. The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein at least one webpage that is listed in said search results (340, 440) is arranged to be provided to the user for accessing.

The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein at least one search result is a webpage with an electronic form and the software program product is arranged to automatically fill at least one entry on the electronic form based on data in the memory and/or data storage of the mobile station.

31. The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein the software program product is arranged to store and/or print a file of the search result and/or filled electronic form and store said file (70).

32. The software program product as claimed in claim 31, wherein said file is arranged to be stored and/or sent to a different computer over the network (730), and data in said file is arranged to be inputted into financial and/or archiving software (740).

The software program product as claimed in claim 26, wherein as the mobile station changes location, some short range information page signal will come into range and some short range information page signals will fall out of range and a new search is arranged to be conducted based on changed information page signals, and optionally results of said search are arranged to be displayed on the mobile station'"'"'s (30, 40, 500, 600) screen.
