1. A control device for an internal combustion engine, the control device comprising:

  • a turbine for a turbocharger that is installed in an exhaust path of the internal combustion engine;

    a catalyst installed in the exhaust path and disposed downstream of the turbine;

    a bypass path for bypassing the turbine by connecting the exhaust path upstream of the turbine to the exhaust path between the turbine and the catalyst;

    a waste gate valve capable of opening and closing the bypass path;

    turbocharger temperature acquisition means for acquiring a temperature of the turbocharger;

    speed reduction fuel cut operation execution means for performing a speed reduction fuel cut operation by shutting off the supply of fuel to the internal combustion engine at the time of vehicle speed reduction; and

    waste gate valve opening means for opening the waste gate valve when the speed reduction fuel cut operation is performed in a situation where the temperature is higher than a temperature setting.
