1. A method for assisting in providing frequency regulation of electric power supplied to an electric power grid to one or more service points to compensate for an over-generation condition, wherein a grid operator or apparatus or systems utilized by the grid operator performs the steps comprising:

  • determining amounts of electric power consumed by at least one device during predetermined time intervals as specified by regulations governing operations of the electric power grid to produce power consumption data, the at least one device being located at the one or more service points;

    storing the power consumption data in a data repository;

    determining that a control event is to occur, wherein a supply of electric power to the at least one device is increased for providing grid stability;

    determining, prior to commencement of the control event, power consumption behavior of the at least one device for a predetermined future time period based at least on the stored power consumption data; and

    determining, prior to commencement of the control event, projected energy consumption resulting from the control event based the power consumption behavior of the at least one device and a power supply value (PSV) associated with the at least one device.
