1. A method of identifying a shifting gesture comprising:
- detecting one or more induction signals induced by one or more pointing objects that come into contact with a touch-sensitive surface;
determining the number of the pointing objects that come into contact with the touch-sensitive surface;
recording moving status and coordinates of each pointing object in an instance in which the number of the pointing objects is larger than a preset number;
determining whether one pointing object moves in a direction parallel to the direction that another pointing object moves in according to the recorded moving status and the coordinates of the pointing objects; and
generating control signals to execute a gesture associated with the determined result.
