- an interactive head-mounted eyepiece worn by a user, wherein the eyepiece includes an optical assembly through which the user views a surrounding environment and, optionally, displayed content, an integrated sensor that senses an aspect of the environment, an integrated processor for handling sensor data and content for presentation to the user, an audio facility that presents audio content to the user, and an optional integrated image source for introducing content to the optical assembly,wherein the sensor is a GPS sensor that determines a location of the user and a navigation application utilizes the GPS sensor data to audibly announce the location.
