Abstract

A transfer system from transferring a media file includes a vehicle media system and a wireless mobile device. The vehicle media system includes a wireless receiver, a security measure, and a processor configured to wirelessly detect the wireless mobile device, and receive, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device. The wireless mobile device includes a wireless transmitter, and a processor configured to wirelessly detect the vehicle media system, and transmit, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device. At least one of the wireless mobile device and vehicle media system is configured to create a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device, and the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

Claims

1. A method of transferring a media file from a wireless mobile device to a vehicle media system, the vehicle media system including a security measure, comprising:

wirelessly detecting, by the vehicle media system, the wireless mobile device;

creating a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device; and

wireless receiving, by the vehicle media system and over the wireless connection, the media file from the wireless mobile device, wherein

the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the vehicle media system.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the wireless mobile device.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein

the security measure is a firewall.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein

the transmission of the media file from the wireless mobile device to the vehicle media system completely bypasses the security measure.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein

the vehicle media system is a vehicle navigation system.

7. The method of claim 1, wherein

the vehicle media system is an audio system.

8. A vehicle media system configured to receive a media file from a wireless mobile device, comprising:

a wireless receiver;

a security measure; and

a processor configured to

wirelessly detect the wireless mobile device,

create a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device,

receive, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device, wherein

the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

9. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the vehicle media system.

10. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the wireless mobile device.

11. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the security measure is a firewall.

12. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the transmission of the media file from the wireless mobile device to the vehicle media system completely bypasses the security measure.

13. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the vehicle media system is a vehicle navigation system.

14. The vehicle media system of claim 8, wherein

the vehicle media system is an audio system.

15. A method of transferring a media file from a wireless mobile device to a vehicle media system, the vehicle media system including a security measure, comprising:

wirelessly detecting, by the wireless mobile device, the vehicle media system;

creating a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device; and

wireless transmitting, by the wireless mobile device and over the wireless connection, the media file to the vehicle media system, wherein

the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

16. The method of claim 15, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the vehicle media system.

17. The method of claim 15, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the wireless mobile device.

18. The method of claim 15, wherein

the security measure is a firewall.

19. The method of claim 15, wherein

the transmission of the media file from the wireless mobile device to the vehicle media system completely bypasses the security measure.

20. The method of claim 15, wherein

the vehicle media system is a vehicle navigation system.

21. The method of claim 15, wherein

the vehicle media system is an audio system.

22. A wireless mobile device configured to transmit a media file to a vehicle media system having a security measure comprising:

a wireless transmitter; and

a processor configured to

wirelessly detect the vehicle media system,

create a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device,

transmit, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device, wherein

the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

23. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the vehicle media system.

24. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the wireless mobile device.

25. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the security measure is a firewall.

26. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the transmission of the media file from the wireless mobile device to the vehicle media system completely bypasses the security measure.

27. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the vehicle media system is a vehicle navigation system.

28. The wireless mobile device of claim 22, wherein

the vehicle media system is an audio system.

29. A transfer system from transferring a media file, comprising

a vehicle media system;

and

a wireless mobile device, wherein

the vehicle media system includes;

a wireless receiver,

a security measure, and

a processor configured to

wirelessly detect the wireless mobile device, and

receive, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device, and

the wireless mobile device includes;

a wireless transmitter, and

a processor configured to

wirelessly detect the vehicle media system, and

transmit, using the wireless receiver, the media file from the wireless mobile device, wherein

at least one of the wireless mobile device and vehicle media system is configured to create a wireless connection between the vehicle media system and the wireless mobile device, and

the wireless connection does not include the security measure.

30. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the vehicle media system.

31. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the creation of the wireless connection is initiated by the wireless mobile device.

32. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the security measure is a firewall.

33. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the transmission of the media file from the wireless mobile device to the vehicle media system completely bypasses the security measure.

34. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the vehicle media system is a vehicle navigation system.

35. The transfer system of claim 29, wherein

the vehicle media system is an audio system.
